Hey all!! That's my guitar, one of many instruments Lyle has elevated close to perfection on my behalf. Meeting Lyle has been one of the top benefits afforded me upon moving here a decade ago. Everything he touches comes back to you sounding better, looking better, and ready for another couple hundred gigs! In fact, here's one of the amps Lyle restored for me about 7 years ago. It's one of the earliest videos on this channel!!

Thanks man. I’ll have to have you back in, since most of the playing demos you’ve done here were just phone audio. I like the way you hit them strangs.

That guitar sounds great! Spank and quack for days. Excellent work Sir.

Definitely a success. I hope the owner will get it refretted soon. Then that guitar will be perfect. (I can’t stand worn out frets!)

I wish you had shown the fret treatment. Excellent as usual and a pleasure to watch. Please do more guitar videos…so much “fillers” out there…

Well, the Fender tattoo should be blue too! 😂

Good eye Joe, but the tat pre-dates the guitar by about a decade...

Success. Owner seems happy. Question: Is it generally more cost effective to replace a bolt on Fender Strat neck rather than get a complete re-fret? New Fender Strat neck is about $300.00. A new Fender Strat roasted neck is about $350.00. Sentimental or keeping it original reasoning aside?

Necks sound and feel different from each other. If you have one you like, refret.

@@PsionicAudio Thanks much Lyle, I'll keep that in mind. I have a couple necks that resemble that remark.

Interesting point. I guess if I get the point we’re going he neck needs a refret, I probably really love the neck. However, if I found something used that sounds great but needed a refret, I’d consider a new neck from a cost perspective.

Wtf, are you telling me besides being a perfectionist amp tech you have also the same skill level for guitar setups? That's illegal! 💪💪

Nah, I don’t have the tools/space to do from-blank nuts or fret jobs. So no real big stuff. Just set up tweaks for friends.
I’m very good at the wiring bits though.
