Me and my brother were there to see the match between two of our favorite clubs against each other. I really so high for O’Riley goals. Been the standout player. Really will miss Birnbaum. Been a pleasure watching him on the field for 10 years ❤
I’ve always kept an eye on DC since Rooney went there, I’ve watched plenty DC home games it felt weird watching us play there last night lol. Usually the DC home games start at the same time as last nights match. Acosta was brilliant in DC also

The last time I seen us look this sharp in pre season was when Rodgers was in charge first time around. The press was superb and after having to deal with a lack of options last year BR looks to have these boys tuned up

The starting DC United Team was second string. They don't have much depth, based on that game!
I watched a few MLS games because of Messi, it is very, very poor standard. Especially the defending.
@@martinmackinnon3432. Sorry but after talking to a few DC supporters that was most of their first team players. They also mentioned they have never seen their GK make so many good saves, normally he wouldn’t dive to save them. Remember Celtic didn’t really have their first 11 out there either
@@matthewmcgurk4282 Bono is their usual keeper, and a very good one at that. The Morocco #1. Tyler Miller is #2, then Zamudio (the guy in goal tonight) is #3. There was a handful of first team players missing. Benteke. came on with a few minutes remaining, but it was pretty much game over by then. according to everything I seen online, Birnbaum was one of the most experienced, and I believe he's just retired, him aside, Badji started (I think) and three others (other than Benteke) came on. The rest were either youngins, or players getting their first minutes.. One I don't even know. It just says "academy player #38" online, but you're correct, it wasn't our starting 11 either.
@@matthewmcgurk4282They were mistaken. I go to games regularly just for something to do! The standard isn't as great as you might expect based on the salaries, but it's not as bad as that game suggested. For example, only two in the starting lineup last night started their last competitive game.

We cant seriously be starting the season with scales and taylor as starters, last season we were exposed nearly every single game and looked like we could have lost any of them, taylor got massively targeted, credit where its due scales had a good season but we clear as day need better alongside ccv because he was having to cover alot for scales mistakes. We cant be starting with mikey johnston still here and i love james forrest but he should be coming of the bench later in the match he cant last 90 minutes consistently. If oriley leaves we cant rely on just hatate bernardo (if they stop pennypinching) holm and McGregor to be our midfield. Any injury and its going to be a massive concern this season, our squad depth is poor. We need 2 more strikers and my concern is the club are only happy to get 1 in and use maeda as a back up striker if kyogo or idah (big if) get injured. Its about time the club addressed these issues if they actually have any ambition. Lets stop leaving everything till last minute and acting like we only 'tried' to get players in, no club operates like that other than us, that needs changing immediately, start acting like a big club and show us what we all wamt to see, stop stockpiling the money, you dont have to spend all of it just get done whats clear as day needed.

Club need to pull their finger out now, very worrying that the club dont want to invest in a cb or lb..🙄 we all know where the issues on the pitch are its about time you spend some of that money and get it done. Rumour has it they are only going for a striker and a winger, and possibly a loan if a player gets an injury in pre season. We are weaker than last season and regressed each season since peter lawwell has returned. Mikey johnston needs to go and i wish him well wherever he goes but we need alot better than what he can give us. Time to kick on and act like a big club, we deserve better than whats being presented weve backed the team and weve invested in our season tickets, shirts etc. Now show us a bit of ambition, we dont want to be just happy to turn up in europe and get embarrassed which our current squad would get destroyed, we want to see abit better than just getting a meaningless win, atleast aim to get out the group. The board need to stop being obsessed with what rangers are doing and trying to be that little bit better, we should be miles ahead of them but we know who is holding us back.
