I normally don't comment on videos, but truly this video was a lifesaver. You explained this in 10 minutes that someone else would have taken an entire 2 hour long class to teach. Thank you so much I finally understand this.
I have been sort of struggling with Organic Chemistry. This really simplified things and allowed me to finish my homework in a breeze. I will be watching through out Organic Chem I. :)
Currently, we are going over R and S, meso, chiral, and achiral, sterochemistry, enamors, diisomers, fisher's models, and that's all I can think of off the top of my head. (hopefully the spelling is close enough)
I am so impressed with your videos, I needed to quickly review my organic chemistry and had forgotten everything. After watching 2-3 videos of yours, I practiced some questions in my course and immediately got the right answer, you saved me days of reviewing and studying lol.. big thank you
waw, i wasted 2 whole weeks in school learning about organic chemistry, which i didnt even pay attention in....all i could have done was watch this video. p.s i have my 10th board exams in a week so THANK YOU !
This is the third time reviewing this video and it really helps drill into me the importance of finding my mind's shortcuts to help me really understand !! We need more orgo prof's like you! It's sad, though, because there is only 55 minutes for each class..
You are a lifesaver! Everything finally makes sense!! The clouds opened up and the stars aligned!! hahaha=)) Thank you so much for making these videos!!
Oh my God. thank god I found you. I was ready to drop this course, but, thanx to you I am back on course. I will be coming back here every time I feel lost in the lecture. and I will tell my classmates to check this videos. great info.
I was gonna drop chemistry till I found your channel , YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DON'T STOP MAKING TUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a lifesaver !!! My teacher can't explain sh*t. I finally understood IUPAC. I hope I won't be last of class anymore (yeah that's my current position, I'm ashamed of that, but hey, someone has to be it).
thanks a lot...very clear and straight explanation... this video helped me understand so many things i couldnt understand in the class... heading to the exam room today.. all the best to me.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! LEARNED SO MUCH IN A SPAN OF 10 MINUTES THAN WHAT I LISTEN TO IN A 1 HR AND 30 MIN LECTURE! Or you're just really good in explaining :)
hiiii!!! I'm from India .........tom is my class ten exam it helped me so muchhh I don't know whether u will see or not but it is my duty to thank you!!!! once again thank you !!!
***** Hi Leah, I just discovered this channel. I wish I found this sooner. I don't have any chemistry exam or course right now, but I am watching the videos coz I love Chemistry. This channel should become more popular! good luck! ^ ^
Glad they're helping. If given just a molecular formula, look at the # of H atoms. If there are too few, you have a pi bond For example: CHCCH3 has a triple bond where CH2CHCH3 has a double bond
Hi Ms. Fisch, I thought you read parent chains from right to left instead of left to right in your butane example with the two carbons on the 2nd carbon?
