    You, my dude, are a life saver! Tufting is far out of my norm, and I have looked up numerous ways on how to keep tension off the yarn. All have said to rewind it yourself by hand, which had no luck. Never even thought about starting from the middle of the yarn like you mentioned! I'll be trying that out now. I'm sure I could leave the yarn roll on the ground then?

    is there any reason why you couldn't just put the backing on at the same time as the initial gluing? does it not cure right when you try it that way?

    • @FlavorWorld
      @FlavorWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      yoo!!! yes you can do that!!!!
      HOWEVER i still like to do two coats. the first coat of glue requires a lot more glue, and sometimes when you press on a backing super hard the glue will seep through the backing and that doesn't look so great. (thats mainly just an aesthetic detail though)
      ALSO! you gotta let the initial glue dry while the rug is still stretched on the frame so it can be kinda awkward to apply the backing like that.
      This is an awesome comment tho and definitely useful for people to know. great thinking : )

    COULD YOU GUIDE ME?
    THANKS!

    • @FlavorWorld
      @FlavorWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!!! for holes, usually one of these things is what is going wrong:
      1. you aren't pressing firmly enough with the gun against the fabric (you don't need to press SUPER hard just can't be too light with it)
      2. make sure you’ve got the gun at a 90-degree angle with the fabric and that you always point it in the direction it's traveling
      3. your yarn maybe isn't feeding properly (reduce the friction of it!)
      4. your fabric might not be stretched tight enough
      Hope this helps : )

    I'm so glad you told the truth about WD-40 that stuff is amazing but only when used properly. My mother used it on her knees. She had severe arthritis in her knees. WD is great for that because it seeps into the human system through the skin. I don't know about long term exposure.

    • @FlavorWorld
      @FlavorWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      WHAT WOW!!!! WD-40 on her knees??? that is interesting i have not heard that before. I wonder how well it worked for her. Thanks for sharing that : ) i would also be slightly concerned about long term exposure, but eh, times have changed

    hey got a question for you and hopefully someone replies but do you need to glue the back or can i leave it with gluing?

    • @FlavorWorld
      @FlavorWorld  ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely have to glue it! Otherwise you could pull the yarn right out.
      You dont need need the backing fabric, it could just be the glue exposed on the floor, but I recommend a backing fabric because it helps with durability and appearance

    • @PixelDicaprio
      @PixelDicaprio ปีที่แล้ว

    • @FlavorWorld

      @@PixelDicaprio if its rug you should glue it.
