I lost so many PS2 games that I lent out. Had this one friend that thought if you lend him something for a significant amount of time, they belong to him. So one day when he was low on cash, he decides to sell them (and to GameStop no less). Unfortunately, he had a bunch of my PS2 games.
Skyrim doesn't have a level cap. It used to, but now when a skill reaches 100, you can make it 'legendary' which resets it to 15, so you can theoretically level infinitely. There's a loading screen tip about it, I believe.
I hate lending out games. I always keep my games in top condition so even after 20 years they look brand new. Yet when i let a friend borrow it it comes back as if they used it as a coster and a frizbie for weeks.

this is actually quite logical. I often try to wait until the game makes it more obvious for me, what's needed because, lets be honest, you don`t need la lot of skills in the first few hours of a RPG.
I am such a person who puts skill points into speech.. :D I just hate it, when the game has dialogue choices and I can't pick an answer, because I don't have enough charisma etc

THIS HAPPENED TO ME IN DARK SOULS!!!!! I was ON THE VERGE of beating Ornstein & Smough during my first time ever fighting them (Solo, too). I killed Smough and got Ornstein down to half a point of health left. I had spent all my Estus Flasks, but I was completely in a state of Zen. The fight was mine. BUT THEN..... My Dad called me for dinner and broke my concentration. Ornstein killed me within that split second of diversion and I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I tried doing the fight again solo a handful of times later that evening, but I couldn't recapture the magic and kept getting raped.
Hey, Rob. I got Skyrim and started playing for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I've been loving it. I recently got to Markarth, and I understood instantly why you love it so much. It is just so awesome a city, the Dwemer architecture so awe-inspiring, and the ruins so cool to go into. It's easily become my favourite city. Even if the Silver-bloods are jerks.
@@PS3GamingScotland I play MMOs a lot and you simply CAN'T pause or manually save. So you have to either exit the game or leave your character standing around like an idiot who fell asleep standing up.
Or worse when you have to put down the controller but your watching an un-pausible cutscene. Do you skip it? Do you leave it playing while you go do what you have to do? Or do prioritise your game over your actual life?
Exactly. For someone who supposedly plays a vast amount of Skyrim, I was shocked to see it listed as a game where you can't max everything. Then again, I haven't played more than maybe 20 hours of un-modded Skyrim (if that) so my memory of the vanilla game might not be the greatest. But I'm pretty sure it is entirely possible to max out every skill.
@@cgnefarious5785 Yeah, how can you max out everything in Skyrim? It's impossible since you only get 1 skill point per level and there are just so many skills.
@@odinson5911 Maxing out a skill and getting all the perks are two different things. But I've used mods where you can level a skill beyond 100, allowing for much higher levels and more perk points, and one where you can convert excess dragon souls to perk points.
@@cgnefarious5785 Yeah, I use that mod too. And I'm pretty sure Rob meant perks instead of skills. Must have confused between them when he made the video. He also showed the skill trees, which confirms it.
my biggest gaming dilemma was in fallout 3. you find harold, a character from previous games. he had a tree growing out if his head, but now the tree grew all over HIM. he pleads you to kill him, but if you spare him it might be good for the nature and world around you.
The one dilemma I always face is never leaving a part of the map undiscovered. It's similar to the T-junction, where you don't want to trigger a story cutscene and then not be able to go back to something you missed. It tortures me to leave a single room undiscovered or a hallway not thoroughly checked for all secrets.
"When do you start New Game+?" Easy, after I 100% my first run and if I still feel like playing the game. If i start over without 100%ing my first run, I can't live with myself. And if I 100% my first run, New Game+ will be the absolute best experience possible as I have literally everything.
"I exclusively wear homemade armor in Skyrim" Hey, me too! It feel so much nicer, you know? Making the armor yourself, improving it, and giving it your own choice of enchantment. It's the best.

Everything is so true. Just finished a game & having difficulty deciding what to play next. So many games. Laughed when you said which path to choose. My biggest problem. Never lend games out anymore because they come back damaged. I feel bad.
For number 7, I use a website called Wheel Decide. You just type in all the games you haven't played yet, spin the wheel, and whatever the arrow points at, that's the next game you play. Trust me, it takes a load off my mind. P.S. I think Rosie is super cute

This dilemma happened to me all the time especially loot box for jrpg. Sometimes i spend hours at first map or town before initiating quest/story i should do because scare that item or scene is missable
Most of those (if not all) are so relatable, especially, "where do I go to find the dead end first". It happens to me all the time, since I want to get all the items in the dungeon

The inclusion of optional pathways (both narratively and geographically) is supposed to create a sense of freedom, but all it does is fill me with anxiety over what I'm missing. The act of choosing one thing is one and the same as not choosing the other/s.
I'm sorry but Luck and Speech (especially Luck) are the BEST stats to raise, why shoot a guy in Fallout 4 when you can just have the bullet they shot at you bounce off your chest back into their head.

I made the world's most impressive automated spreadsheet which tells me which game to play next. It's fantastic. I spent 5 hours making it when I could have played another game but was too indecisive and so was playing FIFA with my unstoppable 5'5 mini-striker.
The first scenario on this list really spoke to me. I've had Skyrim for over 5 years or so and i still haven't beaten it yet. I always end up creating a new character, play it for a while, end up feeling like something is missing, deleting said character, and then starting the cycle over again. The same thing is now happening to me in Dark Souls 3 which I just got a little over a month ago. I need professional help.

I always decide not to use my magic, potions, and bombs in ordinary combats to save them to bosses. I end up regretting after killing easy bosses without the items and finish the game with all the precious items.
Wait for slim model - launch versions are always giant compared to slims, have overheating issues and are loud like Boeing taking off. Unless there's God of War 2 before PS5 Slim... In that case buy that 747 and have time of your life. :)
The only system I've gotten at launch was my og current ps4 and its still going strong. However with the ps5 I'll probably wait till later on. Persona 5, Makoto is waifu. The Witcher 3, Yennefer is waifu (play the first two then come chat lol) Mass Effect 3, Liara is waifu, straight lol (okay we can debate on that one)
I'd say Waifu and Best Girl are different. But Waifu is basically a fictional character you're attracted to. I've always used Best Girl as a term for my favourite female character in something.
The worst thing in choosing dialogue is when it's really vague, or your character takes an unexpected tone. The amount of times I've told a character to say something and then shouted "well dont say it like that you jerk" followed by an immediate reload is staggering.
A couple HMs for your list: 1. What class should I pick? Do I want to be a sneaky rogue stabbing people from the shadows and looting houses under the owners’ noses? Should I become a mage, annihilating my foes with fire and lightning? Am I cut out to be a cleric, a walking bandaid who can’t break the tenants of my faith lest I lose my powers? Am I going to stick with Warrior and just Conan my way through this game? Or do I pick this unique class, specific to this game? What to do, what to do..... 2. How is my character going to look? Chances are, I’ll be looking at this mug (or at least the back of this mug) for the entire game. Do I make a pretty character, a stereotype character, or should I go full derp and make the most ridiculous excuse for a clown that I can concoct from these options? 3. I really like the look of this armor set, but this ugly one has the better stats and buffs. Do I obey my aesthetic sense or give in and put on the hideous set with the gigantic spiky pauldrons that stick out three feet sideways? 4. Who should I Romance? Do I want the suave, sultry temptation with the silver tongue? What about the fun-loving jokester who keeps flirting with me? Then there’s the silent one over there who keeps glancing at my character in cutscenes, and the innocent piece of sweetness who has made it clear that they’re ready to chuck the purity ring off a cliff.... Where does my character’s future nookie lie?
The only thing that ever stops me from doing New Game+ and instead living out my reign of overpowered terror in my current game is normally “but you’ll have to do that one bit you hate and unlock all the map again and do those scary/tense/really drawn out bits all over again”. The only exception to this so far has been Marvel’s Spider-Man
I have noticed that when it comes to story driven game with narrative choices, it difficult only when you actually care about the character and can identify with him/her. But even then you have make choice: 1. Do you make choices that you would make as the character? (You are the character) 2. Do you make choices that certain character would? (Character is not like you) You used Detroit: Become Human as example. When one character I liked really much and wanted to ace everything with that one when other I did not care one bit, so it really did not matter how that one would end up.
I have restarted Red Dead 2 twice now and all 3 of my saves are preserved. I also have a backlog of several games I want to play but can't get myself to touch them because of aforementioned Red Dead 2, Paladins Champions of the Realm, Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, and Pokemon Silver which I am replaying for the 1000th time.
Regarding #7: My backlog was so large I had to make a list of all the games I still have to play. I'm playing them in the order I listed them, no questions asked!
I absolutely love how you use 15 for the loot problem because i have that loot addiction vs story problem especially bad with FF15. Like if I see that little entrance symbol on the map I avoid the hallway at all cost until i have ensured that every tunnel is cleared. And then double check and then and only then...if i haven't accidently gotten lost i continue forward.
I would say you were being overly dramatic with the "lending games" skit, but no, that's accurate. Scarily accurate. Same for the "which game next?" one. Do they give internet awards for skits? This needs one.
Under the dialog choices that change the game immensely, I submit dialog choices that make no difference whatsoever, the gameplay will not change no matter what you choose. Interactivity for its own sake and nothing more. See Bioshock Infinite and Oxenfree 1 & 2
I love the messages in dark souls when you already know an area and you see a message that says liar ahead, right before the message of amazing treasure ahead that would just lead to falling to your death.
Dragon Quest III started with a very traditional dungeon that had a T-junction. The tutorial prompt literally tells you which direction the "story" is in. If you choose the "loot" option, you quickly find out the tutorial dungeon was REALLY just a test of how honourable your character is. So again, if you chose the "loot" path, your character is now labelled as "Selfish" and NPCs will treat them as such.

T junction? Save then go one way. If you hit cut scene/boss reload and go the other way first. Easy peazy.

@@odinson5911 Maxing out a skill and getting all the perks are two different things. But I've used mods where you can level a skill beyond 100, allowing for much higher levels and more perk points, and one where you can convert excess dragon souls to perk points.
@@cgnefarious5785 Yeah, I use that mod too. And I'm pretty sure Rob meant perks instead of skills. Must have confused between them when he made the video. He also showed the skill trees, which confirms it.
my biggest gaming dilemma was in fallout 3.
you find harold, a character from previous games. he had a tree growing out if his head, but now the tree grew all over HIM.
he pleads you to kill him, but if you spare him it might be good for the nature and world around you.

The one dilemma I always face is never leaving a part of the map undiscovered. It's similar to the T-junction, where you don't want to trigger a story cutscene and then not be able to go back to something you missed. It tortures me to leave a single room undiscovered or a hallway not thoroughly checked for all secrets.

Easy, after I 100% my first run and if I still feel like playing the game. If i start over without 100%ing my first run, I can't live with myself. And if I 100% my first run, New Game+ will be the absolute best experience possible as I have literally everything.

Everything is so true. Just finished a game & having difficulty deciding what to play next. So many games. Laughed when you said which path to choose. My biggest problem. Never lend games out anymore because they come back damaged. I feel bad.
For number 7, I use a website called Wheel Decide. You just type in all the games you haven't played yet, spin the wheel, and whatever the arrow points at, that's the next game you play. Trust me, it takes a load off my mind.

This dilemma happened to me all the time especially loot box for jrpg. Sometimes i spend hours at first map or town before initiating quest/story i should do because scare that item or scene is missable
Can relate to all of them, especially the speech options one! It's one reason I like JRPGs because there tend to be fewer choices :D

The inclusion of optional pathways (both narratively and geographically) is supposed to create a sense of freedom, but all it does is fill me with anxiety over what I'm missing. The act of choosing one thing is one and the same as not choosing the other/s.
I'm sorry but Luck and Speech (especially Luck) are the BEST stats to raise, why shoot a guy in Fallout 4 when you can just have the bullet they shot at you bounce off your chest back into their head.

I made the world's most impressive automated spreadsheet which tells me which game to play next. It's fantastic. I spent 5 hours making it when I could have played another game but was too indecisive and so was playing FIFA with my unstoppable 5'5 mini-striker.

The first scenario on this list really spoke to me. I've had Skyrim for over 5 years or so and i still haven't beaten it yet. I always end up creating a new character, play it for a while, end up feeling like something is missing, deleting said character, and then starting the cycle over again. The same thing is now happening to me in Dark Souls 3 which I just got a little over a month ago. I need professional help.

I always decide not to use my magic, potions, and bombs in ordinary combats to save them to bosses. I end up regretting after killing easy bosses without the items and finish the game with all the precious items.

I'd say Waifu and Best Girl are different. But Waifu is basically a fictional character you're attracted to. I've always used Best Girl as a term for my favourite female character in something.
The worst thing in choosing dialogue is when it's really vague, or your character takes an unexpected tone. The amount of times I've told a character to say something and then shouted "well dont say it like that you jerk" followed by an immediate reload is staggering.
How has this had 1.3k views in like a second..jebus.

A couple HMs for your list:
1. What class should I pick? Do I want to be a sneaky rogue stabbing people from the shadows and looting houses under the owners’ noses? Should I become a mage, annihilating my foes with fire and lightning? Am I cut out to be a cleric, a walking bandaid who can’t break the tenants of my faith lest I lose my powers? Am I going to stick with Warrior and just Conan my way through this game? Or do I pick this unique class, specific to this game? What to do, what to do.....
2. How is my character going to look? Chances are, I’ll be looking at this mug (or at least the back of this mug) for the entire game. Do I make a pretty character, a stereotype character, or should I go full derp and make the most ridiculous excuse for a clown that I can concoct from these options?
3. I really like the look of this armor set, but this ugly one has the better stats and buffs. Do I obey my aesthetic sense or give in and put on the hideous set with the gigantic spiky pauldrons that stick out three feet sideways?
4. Who should I Romance? Do I want the suave, sultry temptation with the silver tongue? What about the fun-loving jokester who keeps flirting with me? Then there’s the silent one over there who keeps glancing at my character in cutscenes, and the innocent piece of sweetness who has made it clear that they’re ready to chuck the purity ring off a cliff.... Where does my character’s future nookie lie?
The skits this episode were really well done in particular, brilliant!
The only thing that ever stops me from doing New Game+ and instead living out my reign of overpowered terror in my current game is normally “but you’ll have to do that one bit you hate and unlock all the map again and do those scary/tense/really drawn out bits all over again”. The only exception to this so far has been Marvel’s Spider-Man
I have noticed that when it comes to story driven game with narrative choices, it difficult only when you actually care about the character and can identify with him/her. But even then you have make choice:
1. Do you make choices that you would make as the character? (You are the character)
2. Do you make choices that certain character would? (Character is not like you)
You used Detroit: Become Human as example. When one character I liked really much and wanted to ace everything with that one when other I did not care one bit, so it really did not matter how that one would end up.
I have restarted Red Dead 2 twice now and all 3 of my saves are preserved. I also have a backlog of several games I want to play but can't get myself to touch them because of aforementioned Red Dead 2, Paladins Champions of the Realm, Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, and Pokemon Silver which I am replaying for the 1000th time.
Regarding #7:
My backlog was so large I had to make a list of all the games I still have to play. I'm playing them in the order I listed them, no questions asked!
I absolutely love how you use 15 for the loot problem because i have that loot addiction vs story problem especially bad with FF15. Like if I see that little entrance symbol on the map I avoid the hallway at all cost until i have ensured that every tunnel is cleared. And then double check and then and only then...if i haven't accidently gotten lost i continue forward.
I would say you were being overly dramatic with the "lending games" skit, but no, that's accurate. Scarily accurate. Same for the "which game next?" one. Do they give internet awards for skits? This needs one.
Under the dialog choices that change the game immensely, I submit dialog choices that make no difference whatsoever, the gameplay will not change no matter what you choose. Interactivity for its own sake and nothing more. See Bioshock Infinite and Oxenfree 1 & 2
That lending out your game bit had me creasing! hahaha so relatable!
I love the messages in dark souls when you already know an area and you see a message that says liar ahead, right before the message of amazing treasure ahead that would just lead to falling to your death.
Dragon Quest III started with a very traditional dungeon that had a T-junction. The tutorial prompt literally tells you which direction the "story" is in. If you choose the "loot" option, you quickly find out the tutorial dungeon was REALLY just a test of how honourable your character is. So again, if you chose the "loot" path, your character is now labelled as "Selfish" and NPCs will treat them as such.
I will say this that as being such a big rpg fan that i am, ive rly gotten into these more hardcore rpgs. Nioh. Bloodbourne. Dark souls 3. Ect.
