Pierpaolo is a genius. The collection is so romantic. The reds are stricking. Most of the other colors are seemed pale and dull, yet he manage to combine those colors and end up with beautiful masterpiece.
It is unbelievable to see Pierre Paolo how he manages to update these looks without looking out-dated. I know i have seen these looks before, but at the same time it is new and refreshing. It reminds us why the house was such a hit since it started decades ago. What a great reboot for the house of Valentino. Bravo! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Such a simple, graceful collection. Some of the gown's structures reminded me of light Victorian nightgowns, but with the addition of large floral prints. So refreshing and pleasing to watch.

Pierpaolo is really flourishing as a solo act....it seems he was the driving force of chic femininity in the pair and now that he has the room to stretch his creativity the collections are actually more classic Valentino than they've been since the founder left the house. Don't get me wrong, I really loved what Pierpaolo and Maria Grazia did together for their tenure....but I've been yearning for a house to step into this late 50's/early 60's, floaty, Roman demi-couture aesthetic that the original Valentino left. I think with all of these designers trying so hard to be edgy, forward, provocative, youthful, etc....its a breath of fresh air to have someone who's not afraid to just be pretty in this atmosphere. Pretty but modern. Unabashed beauty has become somewhat of a niche market these days.
Soooo glad some one finally says NO to "ugly" fashion and just gives beautiful clothes that flatter the woman's body in beautiful fabrics, exquisite cutting and craft, and clothes that are worth the gazillion $'s they cost. Instead of ugly crap you can put together from any fast fashion chain or vintage store and call it "trendy". There is such a thing as objective standard of beauty in this world, not that post modernist cultural Marxist BS that is the current standard of fashion - Vetements and how it turned Balenciaga into garbage.

Anna Wintour CONSTANTLY says in her interviews that she hopes/wishes designer keep trying "NEW" things. This is the reason some designers are creating UGLY/WIERD collections. They are afraid to follow their own vision and are so confused by peer pressure that they do not even know what the Hell they are creating anymore.
I very much appreciate collections that are forward thinking and uncomfortably new...moreso than ones that seem referential....however, sometimes I also appreciate a collection that's primarily driven by beauty and familiarity. That being said, just because this collection was influenced by a bygone era, doesn't mean it wasn't modern in some respects. This may not have been a groundbreaking collection that Anna desires, but it was sophisticated, editorial and will probably sell. Not a bad deal for the executives and stockholders, who Pierpaolo really needs to impress.
Wow!!!!! Absolutely fabulous and elegant!!! There is a very beautiful surprise that I am starting to notice and that is the scarf is appearing!! The scarf has always being a woman thing! Its beautiful !! The scarf should be celebrated and worn any which way!!!

Just loved the collection. What a joy it was to have the camera techs focused on showing the fashions from head to to toe with the clothes being center front and not the annoying insistence of some other shows with the constant overuse of the models’ headshots.
You can get from it who are the important clients/buyers.. anyway finally something serious and nice after all that gucci / dolce gabbana and almost all who got inspired by them “mix it all together no matter what”

I don't understand the aerial filming. I don't wanna see the crowd sitting and watching. I wanna see the clothes come down the walkway/aisle. Some of the clothing is stunning but...
What a beautiful performance of Pierpaolo Piccioli! And such an awful work of cameraman! Nervous and twitchy... for what?! There is Nothing good at this kind of filming for fashion show.
The red color was signature Valentino red, and it was Valentino as envisioned by Pier and Maria when they took over the label, so it was a continuation of their aesthetic for Valentino. The original Valentino aesthetic was actually quite similar - very classically feminine, lots of details, lots of volume, lots of gowns and dresses.
This was a drab, shapeless mess of a collection. I thought I was looking at either a Amish or Handmaid's Tale fashion show. I have followed Valentino since I was a teenager and none of this was true Valentino...NONE of it. Valentino had beautiful, well-tailored gowns that made women look feminine. This made women look like tents or about to go to confessional.
i hate this form of presentation, why not just have one big runway and have the girls come out as it's been done for decades, this is too much to keep up with! and very underwhelming collection, it doesn't embody the spirit of valentino one bit!
Anyone saying this is a beautiful collection please get your eyes checked. This is a horribly underwhelming, drab, shapeless collection of clothes that would make any woman look like either a tented Amish bag lady or a recruit for the Handmaid's Tale.
