THIS is exactly what I was looking for....ask folks if Fuegos can flex or feel the floor and they rave how comfortable they are (but look like a rigid plank on the dance floor). This explains alot as to why my ballroom shoes are a favorite...but what to do when I want to wear flat tennis shoe type-ish??

That’s exactly my question. Normal dancing shows look really ugly

I'd imagine the split-sole version would solve some of these concerns. Either way, they're dance sneakers, made for multi-surfaces, and suitable for hip-hop, jazz, teaching, extended social dancing, street to floor and back, etc. I feel like this review is not based on the intended use of this shoe, though still makes many useful observations.

I'm on a (fairly beginner) hip hop dance team and I got these because we had a moonwalk section that I needed to slide well for. They *are* good for that, but I found myself slipping and sliding around too much for everything else that I had to stop using them. Just didn't have the right grip for me.

I dance to Northern Soul, which means I need to shuffle, slide, and spin, and bounce. More AND MORE TALC IS BEING banned from dance floor for various reasons and therefore the shuffling and spinning is getting harder and harder even with dance soles attached to my trainers. (I currently use Polo Ralph Lauren the most comfortable trainer ever to dance in) teh modern wax clogs up the suede. Questions:
    a) would this perform well in this environment nearly all are old sprung wooden dance floors and waxed.
    b) if not what would you recommend?
    Thank you.

You can install your own arches... these aren't meant to replace professional dance shoes, these are for casual dancers specifically and probably not for follows

So what dance shoe would you recommend for Zumba?

hey dude. Any other shoe you would recommend that is more like a normal shoe/ sneaker? I'm not a dancer but a boxer and I like being able to glide across the floor and pivot as easy as possible. Most boxing shoes prioritize traction which I'm not into. The second ones you recommend have the heal on it so that wouldn't really work for me. Maybe the fuego are ideal for me since I will be on a lot of different surfaces, just wanted to see if there's anything else like it but better. thank you!

I agree with you! Mine fell apart within a year. The stitching around the sole didn’t hold. Their customer service is not good either. The shoe is comfortable but not durable. My conclusion many flashy ads but they dont stand by their product.

As a female dancer, to me, comfort and support are synonymous. The difference is that dancers look at support *as* a form of comfort. I don’t feel comfortable if I can’t feel the floor or if my demi-point is restricted by a shoe (like these ones). For females, we tend to wear socks with our heels while breaking them in since they will form to our feet. So you shouldn’t hurt, per se (because that’s an indicator of poor fit or a sizing issue). These sound great for a casual social dancing shoe for men who don’t want to change into a nicer shoe at a bar, for all the reasons mentioned in the video.

Summary after 1,5 years of Fuego experience: cheap material that quickly breaks down. Even in a plastic bag you get less quickly sweat and cheese feet. Said plastic bag would also have a better fit. The Fuego sneakers must have been designed for yetis: Who has no bend lowering flat feet slips unfortunately constantly with the toes forward in the tip and should immediately a packet of ibuprofen against the pain dazubestellen. Owned them now just under 1.5 years and still hate to dance in these shoes. Rather buy a pair of adidas bath slippers, in which it dances at least as well and the sole has about the same material.

What would you recommend for West Coast Swing dance if you’re familiar with it? For a lead/17y old. I was just about to get Diego’s for a showcase routine.

I have these ones. Cheap materials and a bit overpriced, but they are still good for dancing, especially for outdoor.

I like less support so my foot can do what it's designed to do instead of the shoe trying to do the job the foot needs to do.

Dance shoes with a BLACK marking sole? I wouldn't even be allowed into some places with those. #fail
