Mate Rimac said in one of his interviews that his car is pronounced with the letter K (kay; ka, kei:) and not with a C (cee; ce; si:). So, different than his last name. In this video the man said Rimac (cee; ce; si:) automobili. I don't know is it correct or not , since it's the name of the company, but deffinetely the car is not Rimac (cee; ce; si:) but Rimac (kay; ka; kei:). Mate said so.

Cool video! Thanks a lot for the analysis and the kudos. It feels great that people appreciate our work. The design of both cars comes from Adriano Mudri, who is with me from day one. He designed the exterior of the C1 completely on his own, after his day job at GM - as there was not really a company at the time. The former Pininfarina guys helped with the interior as we were on a tight timing to finish the car. But we later had to redesign the whole interior for technical reasons. Now Adriano is heading a design department with 20-ish people, but the C2 design came again from him, with the team executing his style direction. Your observation about the visible carbon part on the door is interesting - I think we decided against it for the C2 as it is not really possible to make a clear line between the painted and visible carbon part on the same part (not two separate parts) so it looked a bit messy when you are close. But I'll check it with Adriano why we made that decision exactly. As for the C2 overhang - that is mostly a result of crash regulations - we need a certain length to absorb the impact force, and as you said, there is lots of stuff in the front (4 radiators/cooling systems, Lidar, radars, ultrasonic sensors, active aero...). Great to have such a feedback - thanks a lot again!

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. And looks is subjective, of course. But I think often times it is because we've developed a bond with objects we're accustomed to, that we tend to view them as being better than their replacement. Most of the time a new car model replaces an old one, people tend to think the old one looked better.

Also, when was Concept_One designed, it took just 6 months to design it, but they skipped the clay modelling.. they model it from sketches directly to computer, where it resulted some proportion measure look off, as for roof lines. They fast it to manage to deliver the car to 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

I live 58 kilometres from his factory and I was fan of his green BMW when he stole every drag race in country with it. It was geek dude, like many other, publishing shaken handheld videos, like many others. Every one talked he will also refit EV motors to his crappy drag-box. But than a one tiny difference between Mate and all others: HE DID IT. Not once, not being happy with 1st place doing over and over and one day revealed what he is developing. It is so remarkable for a regular guy to skyrocket himself and stay there with no intention to come back. I could think why he succeeded so much so fast. In countries that came out from Yugoslavija (Mate's Croatia and mine Slovenia especially) it only two way exists: remain average low or rocket lift yourself to the stars. There is no middle path of steady progress. Environment is so hard to accept ones's success that inertia to raise above is endless. There is saying we forgive others everything including murder, but success not. His chance was only make the best product no one suspected he is doing and no one saw before. I'm fan of him, his vision and his determination, which in uncommon for the area we live in. At least for me, he is outstandingly inspiring person. I will forever be influenced by his success in a good way, much like from the Christian von Koenigsegg, but knowing Mate's factory is 30 minutes highway drive from me, I can feel him more. As far as I know he is still regular guy, that happens to make one of the best hyper car on the world.

I'm a fan of Rimac Automobili but wholeheartedly agree with your views on the Concept Two. From a purely aesthetic opinion, the front over hang does look a little too long from it's side view. Some elements I prefer from Concept One because I love fastback cars, the overall stance and simple lines but both look great imo!

That big graphical area on sides at both Concept One and Two are key feature on Rimac cars and it`s simbolise our country Croatia which is represented thru necktie (Croatian: Kravata). The word "cravat" is derived from the à la croate-in the style of the Croats.

Met Mata Rimac at the car show in Zetra-Sarajevo at the presentation of Concept One. He was completely alone at the booth. I was driving my four-year-old son and Mato and I talked and inspected the car for half an hour. I sat in Concept One and tried out every button. Mate is a great character. He never looks around from high up. We talked about the technological part of the car as if I had the technical knowledge of its caliber. Everything he told me that his goal was in fact surpassed today and he went far further. Croatia should be proud of Mato and his father.

The most impressive parts of the Concept 2 are under the skin. Not just the insanely powerful electric motors and very advanced batteries, or all of the systems they have, but the passive parts as well, such as the carbon fiber monocoque, which is the single largest and most complex carbon fiber piece produced in the car industry to date, and also has the highest torsional rigidity measured for a road car to date, higher even than the Bugatti Chiron, which was the previous record holder. C2's monocoque alone, without anything else attached to it, is more rigid than the Chirons body with all of the crash structures and body panels attached to it, all of which give it extra strength and rigidity. These cars have bodies so rigid that they surpass those of most GT3 race cars with full roll cages installed in them. This should make Richard Hammond very confident in case he decides to test drive the C2.

I Was working for Links company where is situated Rimac company as well, so once I saw him chilling in his Concept one. By itself it wasn't something special to see, but knowing it's worldwide product with his creator in it was like saw doc Frankenstein in his lab and I realised how the moment was cool and special. Like catching rare snow leopard for Nat Geo. Furthermore, Rimac is that type of guy who probably feel the car and thinks about everything that could be better, so see him in his car for me was like seeing Da Vinci in Sistine chapel working on his paintings.

Detailed & beautiful description of the two models. Nice job done. C1 is more for cruising at high speed & C2 is more for competitive racing. I somehow don't like C2. I think it's missing something in a look & style compared to C1. As for Mate he created something unbelievable. He came from noware, jump to ride electric tech in a car and he is now making Rimac what is Apple to the phones. If he had America as a fund raising he would have made electric hyper car business as advanced as what is Ferrari or Bugatti in a combustion engine car business.

Very, very impressive follow up. The fact it now has the looks to match the performance is also outstanding for such a young & small car-maker. EV is certainly lowering the entry bar for sports\hyper cars which should reward those with the boldest vision.

Concept two. The front part of the hood is primarily of Italian design, there are more side lines than before and they are completely harmonious. The last part is richer in design no longer looks like the first concept clasi perfectly but maybe boring. That's why the first model in red looked quite cheap as a plastic toy. Yet if I could buy I would buy the Concept One. Harmonious, fluid, simple and very classy design. In metallic or glass silver color with a black belt. I love the Scandinavian peistup design to use and the Italian just to watch.

The Rimac C1 looks more mature in my opinion. Strong and confident lines from the front to the back. The proportions just feel right, as the nose is longer with less overhang than the C2. The roof also flows more graduately down towards the rear. It's more curved on the C2, which kind of ruins the general flow for me. Still a nice car though. The rims are awesome. Very bold move!
