- TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron plays oddsmaker to set the over/under on where he thinks certain players on Canadian teams will finish with goals scored this coming season, including Matthew Knies, Jeff Skinner, Jake DeBrusk, Juraj Slafkovsky and more.
28 goals 62 points 👉 Slaf
I think slaf got that 35 goals in him, he scored 20 last season and most of them were in the last 50 games. If you look at his game, he can score from almost anywhere and most importantly, he's willing to go to the dirty areas
He has a pass first mentality, but still has a crazy shot, which I think he doesnt utilize too much. If he worked on that and started being more of a sniper, he can get to 40+ easily.
I would say he is a playmaking power forward though, so him getting around 30 while doing all the other things is doing, is already really good.
Laine Caufield Suzuki Slaf Dach all above 25
agreed but it's gonna take a miracle for all of them to be healthy
Most certainly not dach. you cannot come back from an injury like that and score 25. Dach 40-50 points at best, especially considering he'll be playing with laine its likely he gets less than 20 goals. Dach has never been a goal scorer anyways
@@memphissander3512 yes he's a playmaker and he was always looking to pass the puck sometimes too much but that aspect of his game is improving in mtl. He had 14 in 58 two years ago and i think he still has a lot of room to improve plus the top 6 when Demidov shows up will be pretty nasty. If stars align i can see him cracking 20+
I agree, these five Canadians combined might even get 30 goals, if they can manage 6 goals each.
29 goals, 28 assists, 57 points
@TomBrown-cq4vuonly place he can go is laval nobody taking that contract
He's a pass-first player.
A good comparison for 19 year old season is actually Draisaitl, I’m not saying he will end up that good, but Leon had a pretty good 20 year old season, after a very similar 19 year old season to Slaf.
I'm picking Juraj Slafkovsky [more for his points total than his goal scoring] , paired with Patrik Laine , will be the 'big surprise' this season for Eastern Canada teams. I'll even go out on a limb and say Jake Evans centers that line (has been played way under his skillset for so many seasons, he is a better 'play making' set-up guy than either Dvorak or Newhook).
I love Cole-Suziki-Slaf line a lot BUT I would like so see Slaf playing with Laine. Two huge guys, one playmaker one sniper. That would be hard to stop, especially if Suzuki is in the middle.
Honestly, I have no idea how to set up the lines now. I only know I want Slaf and Suzuki on the first
To me I want to see how Lindholm does in Boston compared to Debrusk in Vancouver. Lindholm is an underrated late bloomer and I can see him popping off.
26 goals
79 goals and HABS win the cup
🙄
😅
@@VeopozSlaf my ass off! “SMAO!
79 goals!😂
4 goals 96 assists

Slaf 38 goals. Skinner 36. Knies 22
Anything over 25 is a big number for all the other aspects he can bring. Not a Canadians far but if slavkovski can bank 22 and comes out better defensively and grows more as an impact player I'd say that is a win.
31
He will peak at 50 points 20 goals
With their skill, size and speed, I would guess about 30 goals between the three of them 😅
Over rated.
Guy is overrated but Habs fans don’t want to admit it….he’s a few years away from being a few years away. 😂

All you people have a big surprise coming.
He's not very good and he will be exposed this year.
Stay tuned.
So FAGUE here , that your comment is easily IGNORABLE.
How many playoff games will the leafs win ?
You mean 'how many goals will the Toronto Maple Leafs get in their 1st round of Playoffs and still not advance. Some things are meant to be , because that is what management dictates.
At least one more than the hapless HABs.
