Love your style of presentation…..not hectic and full of crazy music and in your face and confusing. You show what you were doing and explain things in a very pleasing manner with beautiful music in the background. I love your stencils and was wondering when you are talking about using gel medium, do you mean Matt or gloss medium? That’s what I use for glueing mixed media.
Thank you very much. Yes, I use gloss gel medium to glue deli papers and most of the time the transparent part of the paper disappears. It shows when pasted over dark colors like black or very dark blue. I haven't tried matt medium for this. Do a test first if you use matt.
@@SusanCliftonArtistI used matt medium because it was all I have and it glues down quite well. I never cared much for gloss even when I was a house painter. We only used semi-gloss on the trim.
Where do you get your deli paper? The ones I bought, dry waxed paper came in a box and has a fold in the middle of each one. It doesn’t go away when I put it on the plate. Kind of annoying actually.
I got some of those stencils months ago after you mentioned them. They are great and amazing for the price! Thanks. These b/w prints are really nice; I haven't done that before. On some I like the original; some the ghost.
If you went back and added gel medium on top at a later date, would the piece become translucent? I love black and white so I really enjoyed your papers.
I store them with copy paper on both sides and I use a paper storage thing from Ikea that has about 6 slots for paper but I use the top 3 slots for my plates.
I store them with copy paper on both sides and I have a tiered paper storage thing from ikea where I keep the ones that fit. The others go in my Alex unit in a drawer.
It may be the rice paper. I recently purchased a couple of different rice papers on Amazon to do a comparison video and one of them ripped and stuck to the plate every time. I'll be posting that video soon. The paper I used to use was Art Advantage but it is out of stock. Not sure if it will every be back. But I will have other suggestions in the new video.
Great reminder to dig out those stencils I wasn't so keen on a while back - I may feel differently now!
Yes. Sometimes the most basic stencils can create great papers. Enjoy!
So glad you popped up in my feed! Just ordered some deli paper, I love the look! Thank you!
Thanks for watching.

I will try that. I've been so busy lately I don't know what to do first. LOL
Very cool Susan! You’re selling me on the deli paper!
I think you will love it.
How do you store your Gelli plates?
I store them with copy paper on both sides and I use a paper storage thing from Ikea that has about 6 slots for paper but I use the top 3 slots for my plates.
