@@StrawberryDubs Actually, whilst L.A.(and Cali, in general) does have many different cuisines,the East Coast (and even some Midwest and Southern regions, on a smaller scale) has pretty much everY option in the world that the west coast doesn't have becuz they have the entirE globe of cultures at their disposal and their food standards, history, knowledge, traditions, "secrets", etc. are much older and oftentimes higher than any other parts of the U.S.!!! ; )
Speak for yourself. At my house we are constantly searching for new recipes from around the world to try. Just this week alone we've had homemade: shinshu miso soup, fried tofu with fried rice, tagine chicken, reshmi tikka, and shakshuka.

I think I love virgin pina coladas even more than regular pina coladas. I like rum but there is something about the fresh fruit... so good
Yes! I love piña colada ice cream, fruit bars, etc. The rum ruins it, for sure! Love pineapple and coconut.
I think this is the first time Mama has said he has LOVED any of the drinks he’s been served. It makes me incredibly happy to hear he liked pina colada. It’s my favorite drink as well

So funny, I was just drinking mock cocktails when I came across this video. I enjoyed the mint in the mojito and I'm enjoying strawberry margarita right now. The ones I'm drinking are sugar free and zero calorie as well as alcohol free. They taste amazing.
Another delicious video! I'm a big fan of mocktails myself and my favorite is the pina colada, much like it is Mama's favorite here! I really liked the selection you chose for the video. Naseeba did try rice milk here, I remember that video now! It certainly left an impression on her (but it did on me too). Shirley Temples with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream is what we have every single Thanksgiving for drinks! I even served them at my daughters wedding and we could not keep the punch bowl filled, everyone loved them!!

@@RequiemPoete Yes orange soda and vanilla are killer too! Ironically we had two punch bowls at her wedding, one with the grenadine and 7UP and the other was indeed orange soda with vanilla!! Great minds think alike! LOL
@@daricetaylor737 If you ever make orangeade, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract per gallon to basically make a drinkable creamcicle.
The mojito looked the most refreshing, but mint is always cool and refreshing.
I've never liked mint, for some reason I never experience it as cool, but as spicy-hot

I remember drinking "virgin shirley temples" (no alcohol) when I was young when we would eat out at a restaurant. The adults had cocktails and the kids drank the alcohol free shirley temples. It was always a treat.
A Shirley Temple never contains alcohol. They made it up for a child, that's the point.
Another great video, but if you'd like to learn how to stay cool during the hot summer, get ahold of me and I will tell you how to make an air conditioner from household items. There's other ways to make it with parts from a junkyard very easily
here is how to make a "Mama Mustafa"
get a glass
gently heat water over coals
let the water cool to room temperature
stir with a spoon
pour water into glass and serve
after drinking, complain that "Only God knows what is in it."

Please try some Mexican "aguas frescas" (soft drinks) for this heat. Jamaica (hibiscus) and Horchata are my favorite.

Aguas frescas literally translates to fresh waters (fruit juice)

I grew up watching Shirley Temple in the 50s & 60s on TV. She was a great child actress , she acts , she sings and one of the best Tap Dancer even as a child. You need to watch her dance.

The Shirley Temple looks a little dark orange. It should be red. Maybe that's why they didn't like it? I used to order it as a kid because of how sweet it was.

I wouldn't say it's a "gateway to alcohol," per se... I think the idea is more to have the fun of "drinking," but without the alcohol or getting drunk. So, more for people who want to have fun and get all the flavor of cocktails, but **don't** want to actually "drink" or "get drunk/impaired."

What we know Mama likes: Milk, Roti, vegetables, fruits and sweet, cold drinks
What he doesn’t like: Anything too spicy, chocolate, coffee, anything unrecognizable or impure
His personality: Strong, sarcastic, alpha, loyal, no BS, sweet beneath it all.
It would have to be salty and spicy, and yet refreshing. Call it the We Love Mama!

Alcohol is not allowed in their religion specifically but depending on country some smoke hashish or chew tobacco even though the scholars advise against any drugs or herbs that changes the state of your mind emotions and body .but i think some people believe since its plant from earth then it's harmless..humans are weak and can fell into many temptations..
Cannabis grows wild there but no one smokes it. The Hindu population might drink bhang but it's Haram for Muslims and Sikhs also frown upon it
