I'm late to this video but just saw these on sale for $72 US and took a shot after a prior pair of shoes was a dud. These are awesome and so versatile. I bought a second pair to stash!
Picked it up after your first review. Amazing shoe, especially for the price. Love running in it, stands it’s ground Kind of makes me wonder why Adidas misses out on some shoes when they seem more than capable making great foot wear.
Mine still in the box and you really entice me to unbox them immediately 😅! I have always been the adios fan since the 2nd iteration. (I still remember I got my pair up to 1000km and retired them in a hotel room at Vietnam, never took it back) Really surprise the adios 6 has became cheaper vs adios 5, 4 and 3. Hi Edd Adios 6 Budd My name is Sérgio, from Brazil. After your video ADIDAS ADIZERO ADIOS 6 VS THE REST PT1, I have decided to buy one. I'm a widow of Adios 4. The shoes I most love to run ever, was Adios 3 and 4, but 4 upper was more friendly. I was affraid to buy the 6 due to Celermesh. I have a ultraboost PB and the upper seems to chew my foot. For this reason and many bad comments about Adios 5 I didn't buy one. But, Celermesh 2 is amazingly confortable and I'm in love with Adios 6. Took the plunge due to your review of the Adios 6 and purchased my first Adidas shoes. Looking forward to receiving them. I couldn’t refuse at 73 earth credits. At that price I need to fit them into my rotation
Done 10 km progressive run, 5 K PR, 17 km longrun steady pace in them, and today 10 K in my halfmaraton pace about treshold. I have made up my mind. Best shoe I have ever run in.
I settled on the Adios 6 when the Boston 10 didn’t seem quite… My thoughts on the sizing: it’s a unisex shoe, which probably explains why some people find it a bit narrow or small. For me it was the opposite, wider than my usual women’s 8.5 (a men’s size 9), plus the roomy heel confirmed it for me. Once I rejigged the laces, the fit was perfect. I loved the mesh-like outer, I tried to run a bit slower in these but they just wanted to keep going. They were a joy to run in, much more fun than my previous experience in the Adios 3.
Bought in my normal Adidas size originally and thought it felt a bit narrow and short, but decided to try half size up and that was the ticket. Love it!
@@EDDBUD - Finally pulled the trigger and managed to pick up a pair of these for ~£56! You gave them an excellent rating for value based on the full £110 retail price so for half that I’m well chuffed! 😁👍🏻
I watched this video when you put it out, but just came back and watched it again. I decided to purchase these after my pair of Next% 2’s were defective and had to send them back
@EDDBUD Thanks, mate... another shoe for the rotation. I've just done a 3.7-mile/6km ST-easy run in a pair of Peg 37s Can't go wrong with the classics!
Watched your latest video about Excuses we use to buy running shoes, and seen these for 55 earth credits. An bought them today. Which brought be back to this video. Class what an Easter Monday.
I love em for tempo, track and daily and even use them as my casual wear trainer - sooo comfortable to walk in ;) Not easy to slip on and off and need a little lace adjustment every time. Keep up the good work sir !)
You have a way with words Ed! No experience with Adidas as yet. Certainly sounds like a great shoe. So many shoes! Each shoe has it's points and problems. Love my Mach 4 but it is known to have low durability. Love my Novoblast 2 energy return but in my 10.5 size, I am sure it is over 10oz. Thanks for the review Ed!
Just bought them. I didnt want to, but i couldnt resist the 85 euros offer while i was visiting Cork city the day i came back italy. Just ran a 10k easy jog. Cant wait for mileing it
After watching your 10k essentials vid I brought these adios 6s for an absolute bargain! Rotating Pegasus 38s and tempo next%s at the moment so keen to see where these slot into the training schedule. Thanks for the vids, amazing work, sniff tests are a 9.75/10 for me!
Thanks for the review! I bought my pair after watching your initial review, and yes I love it! ✨ The only small complaint that I may have is the Lightstrike Pro seems to be a little bit noisy when landing on the mid/forefoot. Of course not really a matter. 😬
I used the lightweight Adidas mana for years and years, but didn’t get on with boost when it took over…but 50 miles into a pair of these and I really, really like them, except…they give me blisters on the arch!
Thanks for the great update review! Love the Adios (again) too after having been heavily depressed because of the Adios 5. The midsole is a champ. I find the shoe actually much wider compared to the other Adidas shoes I ran but still works well for me. After having been quite enthusiastic I found just two problems with the shoe. The tongue tends to work it’s way down while running and presses on my toes then. Could minimise this effect with quite some work on the lacing. And the outsole is not only collecting gravel it’s also quite hard and really loud when hitting the road. Great shoe, will replace the Boston 8 in my rotation.
I still got my Adios 5 and the durability of it is insane. But not too comfortable ride . After your review I will definitely choose the Adios 6 as my shoe Christmas gift of choice !
At about 100 miles in mine too and agree that it gets better with age. Coming from the old Bostons, the stack height was a bit much but the shoe has loosened up and it doesn't feel so bad. I have the same wear and tear on the outsole too (scratched torsion system, some white showing on one side of the fins). Great shoe and spot on review.
The Mario 1-up sensation is what I would describe for the Peg 37 when popping off the zoom air bag! 🆙 Enjoying the comparison of the feeling of the shoe with other like shoes. Thanks Eddbud!
@@JonsConsciousLife my wife got me the Peg 37 for my birthday last year and still enjoying putting miles into it including today! Oh wow!!!. I have the Hyperion Tempo Brooks and it's amazing. I feel like getting another one but I want to save some earth credits and just to have something different to reduce the pressure on those.... So, it seems like these are the way to go for a balance right?
Managed to get mine for £71, all I can say is my face is 😏 when I run in these, best Adidas shoe in ages, better than Boston 8, SL20 v1, most versatile and most response shoe I've tried. Can't see how this can really be bettered.
@@EDDBUD I'm glad you did bro, loved the Boston 8 but the SL20 didn't gel with me, so had some trepidation, then saw your review and thought I'd give them a go and so so happy, I prefer them over all my other shoes and I can keep going in them for long distances to 👍 just as good as my NB RC elite v1 and no stability issues.
Thanks for the review Edd - My pair arrived today, and I went for a fartlek run: It fits like a glove! The lightstrike pro in the forefoot does the trick, while the torsion system gives additional responsiveness The standard lighstrike is generally firm- but it adds some stability given the fact that this shoe is narrow, and also "reminds" you that you should run more on your forefoot The outsole is superior - Actually, the second half of my run I was running on a terrain with snow, and I experienced zero problems. "Glove like fit around my Tootsies", ..... Dustin Hoffman won an Oscar for Tootsie, Yeovil City Council should award you too for services to lightstrike running
The more I run with them, 130k already, the more a like them. They can do it all and makes harder my shoe rotation. I changed the laces from and old Boston though, which is a drawback I found on the Adios 6 and the Adios pro 2 too. Adidas used to implement more grippy laces which help to keep the pressure of the lockdown. These current ones seem more casual and tend to lose tension and grip. 🤷🏻♂️ The vacuum stone thing...yep, it's true! 🤣 stones sessions before or after on.
Totally agree with all your comments, I've done similar mileage in mine and they seem to be getting better, great shoe! Big improvement on the 5 which I didnt get on with, I still love the 4 though and still have a pair of those (gone through quite a few pairs of them) which i use for quicker runs.
I get a strong Alvin Stardust vibe here! Adidas “low end” trainers are brilliant but I agree with the comment below it’s a shame about the suede. I will have to pass. Another fine review MrB.
I’m loving my new Adios 6. Thanks to your thorough review I broke my Nova Blast habit. It’s been a joy. I like the firmer heal for a subtle stability, “biscuit” feel, while the peppy “chocolate center” satisfies my appetite for a bit of speed. It’s truly a nice break from towering foam shoes-yet I do appreciate the 8 drop. In short: love it. Thank you.❤️❤️PS My women’s black with gold match my Adidas x Marimekko puffer. (Enough earth credits saved with the Adios 6 to make a fashion statement).😉
Glad these are working out well for you Laura. The Adios 6 is a good middle ground shoe. Not too tall but has a nice responsive feel without being overly firm. 👍🏼
Currently i'm using the Endorphin speed for both daily and tempo / speed workouts. But that's only because the rubber on there is really durable and the shoe is also soft at slower paces. I'm a huge fan of the Endorphin Speed, but i'm also a huge fan of Adidas (i raced in both the adios pro 1 and 2, gonna use the adios pro 2 for a marathon soon). So i'm curious to how this shoe stacks up to the Endorphin Speed, because although i'm super intrigued by your extremely high scores here (and very happy i stayed away from the boston 10), the stack on the Adios 6 is even lower so i'm not sure how this will compare. But my hands are itching to buy it right away for so little money.
Just bought a pair and done a quick 5k in them and definitely wanted to run fast in them , ride did feel a bit stiff but hopefully you said it gets better with more miles .
Great shoe, got this based on your reviews, first run wasn’t sure as my calves were a bit sore but they’ve bedded in nicely, they are also quick! Thanks Edd!!
I'm gonna have to pick this shoe up. I have the Boston10s and they're good for long runs at Tempo pace but just seem firm when running slow or on shorter runs. I'm stuck between Solarboost21 and Adios 6.
@@EDDBUD I’ve traditionally gone with Nike (peg shield, turbo, infinity, 4% ) so I really fancy trying adidas. I was tempted by the sl20 last year but I keep hearing good things about the adios 6. I’m just hoping the size is ok. I’m 7 in Nike so that’s what I’ve gone with for these. If not I’ll just have to send back and change for a 7.5 Edit - these arrived today and the 7 is a perfect size. The mesh upper feels superb. Looking forward to trying them out
I’ve learned to wait for 100 mile reviews or go for broke based on intended purpose. The adios6 held my attention since the Boston went sideways. I’m chalking the 10 up to what happens when marketing drives product rather than running engineers. ✌🏽💙🏃🏽♂️
Finally picked up a pair on 30% off to replace my all but worn out SL20s. Not even done 10 miles in them yet. Feeling a bit stiff at the minute, but damn quick. Running the Baltonsborough 5 in them on Monday
Edd „Heel“ Bud & The Snappy Midsoles … in case you should ever feel the urge to form a rockabilly band. 😅 I really like the build quality of the Adidas shoes. While HOKA seems to keep their pricing somewhat down to earth, as you said in one of the recent videos, I don‘t really share their understanding (or vision) of durability. In fact, no pair of HOKAs that I had was good for much more than 350 miles, which is not very much (especially for shoes in the daily trainer category). With Adidas, I’ve never had any problems, the outsole and midsole generally seem to hold up pretty well. My first pair of the Adios Pro (1), especially the thin rubber outsole, disintegrated pretty quickly, though. I guess that they improved this with the V2, and the Adios 6 outsole looks pretty promising, too. A good amount of quality outsole rubber is not a bad thing, I guess. The +25 grams in weight don’t bother me if the shoe lasts twice as long with it. 😅
@@EDDBUD on another note, I ran in the SL20s yesterday for the first time. A short warmup then a 5k race, and wow they did not disappoint. I’m terribly out of shape at the moment, and I didn’t realize the course was about half trail and gravel path, but they performed very well given the conditions (of the environment and my lack of fitness). The finishing 500m was a straight paved downhill and I easily (even though I felt dead) gradually picked it up to a 3:15/km pace for the last 200 weeks or so in these shoes. It’s obvious that they will give you back as much as you can out into them. Excellent stuff and I’m glad you’ve raved about them in previous vids so they were on my radar.
Who would have thought that out of the Adios 6, Boston 10 and the Adizero Adios Pro 2 that the only one that didn't generally underwhelm people and would get the highest praise when finally made available would be the Adios 6?!!! Btw - 'lanky Lyndhurst lookalike' did make me scoff out loud when you said it 😂
You got me ready to order these. A glowing review!!! How would you compare these with the leberate. I’m a little worried about picking up stones if i happen to chase a squirrel into the forrest
Just bought for $80 on adidas website(33% off), I got the Jackie Joyner-Kersee edition. This my first pair of Adios since the 3s(had 3 pairs of those). Seems like ages ago when the Adios were the flagship marathon shoe. Can't wait to try out my Adios 6 after your review
Informative review as always - Similar price and (I think) use to Rincon- maybe a future comparison ? Want to like adidas but my feet don’t seem to work for their lasts - I get blisters from the ones I’ve tried so I stick other brands now
The smell test is the most important one ...just gonna buy them for that point lol amazing lol tanke shön...merci beaucoup 🤣👏👏👏🏃♂️😉🇨🇵...i really loved my adios5 mango for tempo...threshold..5k 10k runs . I m really interrested by the 6s
I am a beginner in running, I train on the athletic track middle-long runs and use this shoe. A shoe is great. It is very light, comfortable and responsive -- it pushes me forward. Don't know about Pro version and is it worth investing in it.
Bought these a couple if weeks ago and wore them on my first ever 10k race today. Was aiming for sub 45 mins and managed 43:39. Very pleased with the shoes and my performance in them!
Well just got mine today, and I'm dying to go for a run right now. They feel light, grippy, responsive and fast . Dare I say, almost too nice to run in. Also, might even be my first shoe where I've not felt the need, to replace the insoles.
@@EDDBUD Well you've steered me right on my last two shoes, being the endorphin speed 2 and velocity nitro. But I get the feeling, these are something special. Plus I already have a couple Adidas trainers, so know their fit pretty well.
@@EDDBUD Well guess what they do, but with a caveat being I'm not that light at around 91kg, so after 11 miles I caved and had to walk the mile of shame. Well I say shame, more my thighs we're killing me, but it's all good my endorphin speed 2's had to break me in as well. Love the grip, I'm a strong runner so forever break traction, these are the first to not do this. And the sock like fit, and heel counter is brilliant, why can't all shoes fit like this. Time wise I was a minute behind my saucony's, which is none too shabby, but I felt fresher for it. But I really do miss the propulsion, so these with an insole for daily, and I'll probably look at the pro 2 for race day. Have I found my one brand to stay with, possibly we'll see.
Hey Edd I have been using tempo next for most of my speed training, recently busted the air pods, would you recommend adios 6 as a replacement? I am on a bit heavy side so my question is how does the cushioning hold up to next percent. I am a midfoot striker. Thanks again for superb videos.

The vacuum stone thing...yep, it's true!
You had me at midsole…. I was waiting for the Sonic Ink / Screaming Green / - just noticed it on Start Fitness, discount code hunting time 🏃🏻♂️
I’m a little late to the adios party. Just got a pair of these for 57 earth credits. I’m hoping for great things based on this review.
Wonderful shoe and a great price.
I get a strong Alvin Stardust vibe here! Adidas “low end” trainers are brilliant but I agree with the comment below it’s a shame about the suede. I will have to pass. Another fine review MrB.
Can’t beat a bit of Alvin. Not sure of the origin of the suede. Wish they would let us know if it’s fake or not.
So tempted to try these👍
A brilliant shoe in my honest opinion.
Just bought a pair and done a quick 5k in them and definitely wanted to run fast in them , ride did feel a bit stiff but hopefully you said it gets better with more miles .
They will flex and become more forgiving over time Alan. Superb shoe for the money
Was on the fence until the smell test. Cannot say no to 8/10 smell test!
Great shoe, got this based on your reviews, first run wasn’t sure as my calves were a bit sore but they’ve bedded in nicely, they are also quick! Thanks Edd!!
It’s one I feel takes a little to get the best from it. But then it really flourishes.
@@EDDBUD Agree, quite partial to a slow burner much like when a song/album that’s a bit nothing turns into a real grower!
I'm gonna have to pick this shoe up. I have the Boston10s and they're good for long runs at Tempo pace but just seem firm when running slow or on shorter runs. I'm stuck between Solarboost21 and Adios 6.
Totally agree. It's one of those shoes that you put your feet in and they will run with you and you just can't stop them.
Works with you to produce a lovely smooth feel.
Deffo fancy picking up a pair of these.
A superb design and fun shoe, good price too.
Great review. I was pondering this or the peg 38 but those mentions of the peg turbo and the fact I can get these for £77 has made the decision for me
Peg 38 if you want more cushion. Adios is about 50g lighter in my size and much more nimble.
If not I’ll just have to send back and change for a 7.5
Edit - these arrived today and the 7 is a perfect size.
✌🏽💙🏃🏽♂️
The Adios 6 is the true Boston 10 for me at least 😊
Finally picked up a pair on 30% off to replace my all but worn out SL20s. Not even done 10 miles in them yet. Feeling a bit stiff at the minute, but damn quick. Running the Baltonsborough 5 in them on Monday
I saw that one was on. Is it still open for entries? 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
@@EDDBUD Certainly is. Online entries close on Saturday, I believe
Just ordered these for £67. I enjoy the Puma Liberates and these seem fairly similar so interested to see how they compare.
The liberates are quite a bit lighter. These are a bit more aggressive in terms of a race feel.
No regret buying a pair of this❤, i love the outsole i would even buy a flipflops made by Continental if theres one.
Great grip on the Adios 6. You really feel the fins digging into the ground. 👍🏼
Edd „Heel“ Bud & The Snappy Midsoles … in case you should ever feel the urge to form a rockabilly band. 😅
I really like the build quality of the Adidas shoes.
Good day, cadence cousin (that cracked me up haha). If only they hadn’t used suede. I’d def pick these up.
Ahh yes, i good point that these are no good for vegans. I wish they shoe makers would list the materials in more detail.
I'm certain it'll go on sale at some point. Definitely gonna pick a pair up then
A great shoe all round!
It's already only £71. If you know where to look 👀
Not bad just found it narrow for me I'll get use out of it but things can be improved here think it is trending in the right direction
Who would have thought that out of the Adios 6, Boston 10 and the Adizero Adios Pro 2 that the only one that didn't generally underwhelm people and would get the highest praise when finally made available would be the Adios 6?!!!
Btw - 'lanky Lyndhurst lookalike' did make me scoff out loud when you said it 😂
Can’t believe someone has already given this a thumbs down! Clearly not had time to view the content. The mind boggles.
Rob, it might be someone that hates zeros, you never know! :)
@@EDDBUD Nice touch at the end. 😂
Lovely review. Can i wear it for casual wear and playing sports like badminton /gym etc??
Thanks
Yes and yes
Loved this review!
Do you suggest this for a flat foot runner who doesn’t prone much.
Any recommendation will be much appreciated.
Rohit the Adios 6 is quite tight in the arch which may cause you discomfort.
@@EDDBUD ok I’ve opted to get Adistar CS
I enjoy long, slow runs considering my flat foot. Looks like a decent buy
What do you think of the same?
You got me ready to order these. A glowing review!!! How would you compare these with the leberate. I’m a little worried about picking up stones if i happen to chase a squirrel into the forrest
Edd, thanks for the review! I bought these based on your recommendation, and so far I must say I love them. Do you recommend them for marathon runs?
Good daily shoe and for some distance racing. Perhaps not my first choice for a marathon. But easily half marathon capable.
@@EDDBUD thanks!
Mate.. thanks for getting me up in the middle of the night to order a pair. Now if only I know where my card is.
Great shoes, look out for a discount here and there.
Was the lightstrike in heel hard at first Eddbud?
Great and enticing review as always. How does this 3-striper compare to the Liberate and Rebel V2?
Just bought for $80 on adidas website(33% off), I got the Jackie Joyner-Kersee edition. This my first pair of Adios since the 3s(had 3 pairs of those). Seems like ages ago when the Adios were the flagship marathon shoe. Can't wait to try out my Adios 6 after your review
I just snagged a pair for $79 USD. Gonna give em a whirl on a tempo run in the morning.
It’s one of my shoes of 2021.
I picked these up for £77, hoping they suit me as they do you. 🏃🏃🏃
It seems to firm at first, I enjoy wearing it but must actually have a go at a 5k in it to see how good it does the job 👍
Hi Edd... Love the channel... Please help... Adios 6 or boston 9? I like more cushion... Tnx...
Adios 6 is more forward thinking. The Boston 9 is a good shoe if you like lower stacks.
Adidas have gotta pay you some commission, cause I’m sold!
Great review as usual Edd 👍 I really wanted to like mine but they just aren’t suited to the older runner at all. Far too unforgiving.
I agree Brian.. returned mine 😔
Informative review as always - Similar price and (I think) use to Rincon- maybe a future comparison ? Want to like adidas but my feet don’t seem to work for their lasts - I get blisters from the ones I’ve tried so I stick other brands now
Hey Nathan, i have heard that some people have issues in the adidas uppers. A real shame they dont do some wider offerings.
Now on sale..50 dollar here in the Philippines
Nice review! How would you say these fit sizing wise? For reference floatride energy 3s fit me perfectly in TTS. Thanks!
Sound eel!!! ❤️
Much prefer the adios 5 and 4 new technology in the sole is so different!
Luv this shoe but am wondering for longer distances what would provide a little more protection? The Boston 10? Supernova+?
The Boston was too clunky for me. Maybe try the supernova.
Glad these are hitting the spot James.
How is it in terms of stability? I have a pair of Adidas Tempo 9 I want to replace, I was looking at adizero pro and the adios 6.
I didn't like this shoe to begin with was a bit tight on my little toe but with changing to thin socks and a bit of stretching seems to be perfect now
Glad these are moulding to your requirements Richard
Well just got mine today, and I'm dying to go for a run right now.
They feel light, grippy, responsive and fast .
Dare I say, almost too nice to run in.
Also, might even be my first shoe where I've not felt the need, to replace the insoles.
Hope the live up to the initial feel. Love mine. 👍🏼
Its a touch lighter, takes some time to break in but is a superb shoe. Actually the best shoe released this year in my opinion.
Thanks a ton, ordering them now.
Hi, would they be okay for almost flat feet? Thanks!
