I agree. They might be professional actors but that is the part I like the best. They really did a decent job and it helps expose some very serious scenarios.

    These are invasions of privacy
    1. The nurse should've closed and log out of the computer before she left. The 18-year old girl requested to the nurse that I don't want my mom to know about this, and her mom comes back, and after the nurse leaves, she sneaks on the computer to find out she had an STD from her cheated boyfriend, had sex, they ordered an STD screening, and mom disobeys her to keep this between her and the doctor/nurse. She's an adult and she has the right to tell her whenever she feels comfortable telling her mom. Leaving the computer on could put a risk of someone accessing the information to know about the patient, so the patient's privacy is respected. 😠😐💻
    2. The three nurses wanted to know about a friend's birth, as she didn't tell them, and sneaked on the computer to check her chart to see whrn she was born, room number, baby's height and weight, and she has the right to tell them when she feels comfortable, and not before or when she doesn't tell them. What if she wanted to keep her birth private? It's her body, and it's her business!!!! That is none of their business!!!!
    3. One of the nurses were calling to ask where her coworker was while waiting for the elevator, in a public place where others can hear that information.
    4. One of the nurses came with the other two nurses, and told them they were in the pediatric nursing unit, mentioning about a patient she had to care for, has asthma, and put up a sign that said, "Logan's Aunt". They were in the elevator towards downstairs, and his name was mentioned, what was wrong with him is considered personal information.

The nurses were also checking their friend's birth on the computer to find out how long she was in labor.
The one nurse put up a sign that said, "I'm Logan's aunt." They aren't related to them via blood

What about when they give you a drug test and their is no where to put your name on the cup. I feel my test was comprimised. Then a message was left on my phone. Then in fornt of everyone over the phone the MA said everything that was on my test. It was totally incorrect

The only problem is that this type of dialogue happens all the time. Hopefully things will change in 2017 and beyond.

    1. Having a conversation in unnecessary detail at the elevator in front of non-nurses.
    2. Looking up info unnecessarily on a PC on a friend.
    3. Not locking the PC when leaving the office.

There are voliations occuring against patient confidentality ,exposed charts, and computer information confidentality where the patient 18 or not as an adult she deserves her confidentality! Protocols are extremely volitated throughout this video !

There are so many serious violation on patient confidentiality abused in this clip it's ridiculous from the elevator, to the computer, chart information- there are visible breaches of patient privacy, discussing the daughter case in front of parent -she is over 18 .I suppose.

The mom wanted to know what’s wrong with her 18-year old daughter when she’s of age and wouldn’t respect her privacy by going to the desk to ask the nurse what tests are going to be done when the nurse was adding info into her chart, forgot to close her chart on the computer when there was a “code blue, trauma one”, and the mother looked at her chart on the computer to find out she had a STD and was pregnant after cheating with her ex boyfriend. It is considered a breach of PHI and it could cost $50,000 per chart opened and up to $1.5 million maximum annually. She is an adult and she doesn’t have to tell her mother what’s going on unless she feels comfortable sharing. Also, a release of information is required to share information to others

THE NURSE WAS VERY CARELESS TO HAVE LEFT THE COMPUTER UP AND LEFT THE DAUGHTER'S CHART OPEN. BEFORE LEAVING THE DESK SHE SHOULD'VE MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED.

the first violation is discussing the patient in the elevator.. the second is looking on the computer at things they should not be looking in at.. also she should not talk to the girl if she is not over 18
