Noting how the end panels of the lid have been left plain ... if those pieces, and the chest end panels beneath them were similarly just constructed of plain cardboard, what a wonderful surface to be decorated with paper quilling those panels would be!
This is awesome! I really like it. I think that I may make a little ledge to hold a small tray with compartments for different items. You know like a little jewelry box. Put just 4 little straw pieces; maybe 2 cm. Long in each in side corner of Your box. Then I would make a tray with sectioned areas. 1 for rings, 1 for earrings and a long section for necklaces. It would just sit nicely nestled in the top part of Your box. You could just lift it in and out. Then You could still have extra room in the bottom of the box. I love Your design. It is very pretty.
