I would have forgiven him much more easily than she did since she grew up with that manipulative shrew of a cousin. Why did she forgive the cousin so easily? She is also to blame because she helped commit the fraud by giving the password and account for Red Bean. In fact, HE is the one the least to blame.
I'm guessing he will give her a half ass apology for treating her like a tool and a piece of garbage and she will happily go running back to him and forgive him and be his happy little Asian wife, loyal and obedient. Because after all a half-assed apology it's all she deserves is a sweet little obedient Asian wife and she should be happy with that.
This scene, the beginning bit, always gets to me; though I’ve watched this many time(s), I still believe Han and Xia should’ve been together instead of Dan and Xia. I din’t think he deserves her and I especially don’t think her “family” deserves her. Dan stating that he misses Xia when he has not only been in a relationship (engaged) with her cousin(sister) but also, he just left a table where the parent(s) we’re meeting each other for marriage. I was scoff when I see him say that.
Xia was never in love with Hao. She fell hard for Danqiao. And so did he. The irony is that while his experiences shaped his outlook to life, he failed to muster the courage to stand by his convictions and inner feelings. Which is why he gave up on Xia knowing that some part of her still pined for him. Her rejection of him was motivated by some reason he knew that. But he somehow failed to act fast enough. Almost walking into a farcical marriage, till he was stopped in his tracks by Hao. As the psychologist friend of Danqiao's noted it would have been a disaster of a marriage with Xin since he doesn't love her at all. His heart only beats for Xia, who he was fated to me. An unbelievable story. But anything is possible in the drama world.
