Hey Valrak, there might be some new Tyrannid models coming soon. In the new Space Marine codex, the Lamenters, Knights of the Raven, and Scythes of the Emperor chapters were fighting a splinter of Hive Fleet Kraken. During the battle it states that the Ordo Xenos 47 different tyrannid forms (about the same amount that GW sells). However, the Ordo Xenos was *unable to identify 13 different new tyrannid forms*. Considering that GW is gonna release a new xeno codex, it might be tyrannid with some new models
Glad to see more and more animations. Everything doesn't have to be Astartes level quality either, that's like a rare example of a animator who has been in the area of animation for a decade. (Which Syama Pedersen - Astartes Creator has) I like seeing the different blends of art, animation and backgrounds in each and every animation series, like Death of Hope, Sodaz Animations, Warpgazer's Animations, Richard Boylan's Animations and a smother of others in between.
I love this guys passion and all the work he's put in. Great stuff. Also this is what it sounds like when the Emperor speaks to you through a cup and string phone.
Good hard surface modeling, lighting and texture painting. Character Animation (timing and weight), camera moves, some of the simulations and rendering need more polish. A labor of love for sure! Good job!
When I watch this video I thought so the emperors heals the sister because of her faith but then for a space marine he just gives him fighting strength but death is the emperors will Also the end is what it feels like when your ancient let's your melee unit have one last attack and it wipes the squad he died too
To be honest, I was quite skeptical of the movie in at the beginning, but it ended up being really cool. It is a bit janky, including the narrative/logic, but no big deal.
My mate just said to me "Isn't it sad that all the brothers who follow the words of Lorgar, are fighting each other, but then the closers their scripture is the greater the fighting" :)
I hope we see a continuation of what happened in the Conquest: Apocalypse, the faith and Guilliman knowledge of the faith, the Word Bearers last loyal son with the Power of the Emperors wrath.
My only "problem" with this is that it's really hard to understand the word bearer. Don't get me wrong, I love how you can hear the ten thousands years of constant war and warp fuckery. I recently read the lords of silence and their is always mentioned how you can't really understand them with all the slime and mucus. I really think subtitles would be great

I'm trying to watch this reaction, but all I can see is a Giant Erect Phallus obscuring the screen and some English bloke repeating furiously: "THE SONS OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORN"
Is pretty good in lore of the Black Templars, and the Littany in the end could be more epic if the Champion died Knelt like in prayer. The grim dark is on point, adn the detail is rich. And last the joke as easter egg. 10/10
FWIW, being the Emperor's Champion doesn't necessarily make you stronger as a fighter. You do get nicer gear, but the only other distinction is that they had a vision of the Emperor before a campaign. 🤷🏻♂️
That used to be the case, but GW seem to have retconned it into an actual power up. From Faith & Fury page 43: "Divinity rests upon his shoulders as both mantle and shroud, though whispers from some who have fought alongside the Emperor's Champion say he walks in shadow, half-possessed by visitations of a supernatural vengeance. When battle is joined, divine might flows through the Emperor's Champion's every sinew. His vision shimmers with golden light that burns brightest around the mightiest of enemies." Could be hyperbole or exaggeration, but given that they also changed the lore so that there are only a handful of Champions per century instead of one per crusade & it kinda suggests that the role is actually a spiritual power boost. Whether that's better than the old lore is up for debate of course :)
My only negative is I found the voices to quiet by far (but may be just because I am old and crap) :) This is great especially the length of it wow just wow!
I often wonder if more loyalist Primarchs return (calm down Valrak : ) ) say another 3 who all know the big E is not a god however we are now getting more instances of manifest faith in lore. How will the secular Primarchs react to this? While they thought it was fake, a placebo they could ignore it but with powers manifest which have to come from the warp can they afford to ignore it? However a new civil war would lead to the destruction of mankind? I initially wondered if the two halves of the empire where going to become one secular (based around Terra) while the faithful flee to the other half. Then you could have two factions not a war but almost in a cold war and have one faction focusing on science and the other on faith!
This was amazing. I know astartes is considered top tier, and by all means it certainly is, but I think that Helsreach is the most ambitious and most profound of the animations made by the community. I'd recommend everybody to watch it.
Only a couple issues with this. the voice acting could use some work, better quality microphones maybe. also the animation seemed quite janky and unnatural at times and it didn't flow well. other than that the textures, lighting and models were all fantastic.
Well theoretically, shouldn’t the emperor’s champion have won quite easily? I mean, he is regarded as the most skilled warrior in the entire black Templar chapter, no? And should have a few centuries of experience, no? Perhaps as Valrak said, their experience is greater
What Astartes did was show us that you can have a go! There are some issues with this (the voice acting and the rigging and timing on the animation have room for improvement) but the visuals are stunning and he told a tight little story. If he could get some help from a traditional 2d animator I think he'd take it to the next level about communicating speed and weight.
Except it doesn’t this word bearer seems at best a squad leader not a lord and and the only reason chaos marines from the hereasy days live is that time works differently in the warp so no he wouldn’t have thousands of years of experience
It always makes me laugh when heretics call the emperor a false god or weak, despite the fact their four "true gods" are so scared of him they have to team up to fight him...

A strategem originally made by Matt Ward for the Ultramarines, now free for all chapters but exclusive to Primaris Lieutenants.

the camera work in the fight added to the janky nature but it's a ballache to get the animation right especially if you're not an animator
