My mom died almost 3 years ago from a seizure caused from brain cancer. But she was a champion till the day that horrible disease took my favorite person from us. But she is living her best life watching over me, my dad, sister and brothers and we are making her proud every day even if it is just getting out of bed that day. Stay strong y'all. *I sung this in choir in 6th grade with my best friend. In the end of 7th grade, our school shut down due to covid and her last words to me were "Stay safe and healthy, I'll see you again in 2 weeks!" (I didn't have a phone so I never got the chance to get her phone number. I'm 14 now, and my parents still won't let me have a phone) Our school was shut down the rest of the year. Earlier in 7th grade she said she might be going back to the Philippines, so I think she's there. I'm in 8th grade now I have 1 more day of school and I surprisingly made it this entire school year without having someone to sit by at lunch or to talk to in any classes. I did have one other friend but she moved to another city in my state at the beginning of 7th grade. We still text each other everyday but we haven't seen each other in person for almost 3 years. Now everytime I hear this song, all the memories of me and my best friend in choir come back. Why was that even mentioned?? The one thing I don’t like about country music is the restriction put on artist expression in the music. Carries voice is huge, and I honestly feel like country music holds her back. This song allowed her to do things with her voice I’ve never heard her do before.
