In the Name of Allaah the most gracious the most merciful. Narrating the incident of Imam ash shaf'ee complaining to waq'ee is not accepted as when imam shaf'ee came to imam maalik he said to him that Allaah has filled your heart with light so donot put it off with sins....then this not possible that imam shaf'ee would forget the naseeha of his ustadh and indulge in sins and then complain of his weak memory to the student of imam maalik wak'ee!......(reference: Jawab Al kafee)

can someone help me plzz whenever i sit down to study i just get completely distracted by stuff or fall asleep i used to be one of the intelligent students but now i feel like i m loosing my knowledge and my grades are falling plzz help i have assessments nxt week in alot of subjects and i want to do good plzz help
nargas riaz try to get rid of distractions like your phone and so on. Make a little time table before starting with learning. How many minutes do you want to spend and also put some breaks in between. Have some nuts and water on your table when studying and try to avoid greasy food while studying. Eh, also having a bad grade doenst mean your stupid or anything, believe that you can achieve your goal with the help of Allah. Before starting with learning you can say this dua:
Allâhumma lâ sahla illâ mâ ja‘altahu sahlâ wa anta taj‘alu al-hazana idhâ shi’ta sahlâ.
Oh Allah! Nothing is easy except what You have made easy. If You wish, You can make the difficult easy.
You can find many other dua's. Also just try to do your best inshaAllah.

nargas riaz NO problem! Also, you have many more dua's for learning and you can also make your own dua to Allah, what counts is you being sincere. Im not a nativr English speaker so my english can be a bit of haha. But khair inshaAllah! :) Dont stress to much about it!
