@@tehreemahsanullah5857 well Hollywood is often not very kind to very good looking male actors. They are often not taken seriously. There's also risk of objectification when all people (including critics) see about an actor is his looks and not talent. Although Sam mentioned in one interview that he is not very much worried about this because he is not getting younger and is closing on 40 now.
His accent in Outlander is so much more appealing but... dddaaaammmmnn!!! That man is all kind's of fine

Was a lovely interview but honestly... after four seasons, a very successful movie with A-list casting and another one underway, and you only give him three and a half minutes where you rush the crap out of four different topics? Whereas Caitriona Balfe goes to Kimmel and Conan and has the time of her life there...
The guy's a great actor, is pulling a very difficult character (try and say his lines without sounding stupid, you'll fail), has done some of the rawest dramatic scenes I've seen in tv in a long time, is a dedicated philanthropist, is finally getting traction in his career... and still all he gets from mainstream is crumbs of interviews where he either has 3 seconds to say whatever he can, or he gets asked for the gazillionth time about what he wears under his kilt or what is his workout routine. Not to mention he got snubbed pretty much every award season.
Get a grip. Objectification is wrong regardless of gender.
Long story short, it's because Fallon absolutely sucks. Him and the show.

@@Pirustae You know, I never agreed with people who say Fallon fakes his laughs and all that, and I always liked the guy since SNL days (even when I was very young when he was on). But I'd have to agree lately the show is not that good. I watch mostly because of the guests, but when they screw up as they did with Sam Heughan is like taking out the one thing I'm watching for.
He is the big star of the series acting wise.. he's humble, hardworking, very clever and wise beyond his years..

Hi Barb. Actually, in Scotland his name is pronounced Heu-chan - the gh sounds the same as ch in loch or Bach. Most English speakers find it a difficult sound to make (unless you grow up in Scotland of course!) He pronounces it Heu-an outside of Scotland because he knows folk can't cope with the 'voiceless velar fricative'.... linguistic term for 'ch'! ;-)
AJM0405 I think I’d be fine with it used to that sound ! Albeit from a different point of view as some of the sounds of Irish Gaelic or geailge use this same thing and I’m learning it alongside the gaidhlig and even some cymraeg ( welsh ) ! Ambitious I know but like Jamie I seem to pick up languages like people collect stamps lol 😂 only difference between the two forms of Gaelic are Irish has three distinct dialects which in Ireland the gaeltachts for them coincide with ie the one for Ulster is in donegal , the Munster one is Kerry , Waterford and cork , Connaught has theirs in Galway , and mayo but by extension would also be the Aran islands . Of the three the Ulster dialect has the closest resemblance to the gaidhlig due to the influence of the Scots Irish or Ulster Scots as they are also known by they also use the Scots dialect and Scottish slang as well I have some Ulster Scots in my O’Brien Cavan based ancestors my three and four times great grandmothers of this family one is Elizabeth McGovern this is a sept of the clan Macquarie, then her mother Bridget and also her mother in law and wife of James O’Brien ( my 4xggrandad) was Elizabeth mcgrail this is a sept of the clan MacNeil of barra . I’m hoping with dna to trace whereabouts they came from . Not the only Scottish links in my family my granduncle by marriage is a Macleod who was born in Australia to parents from Inverness and grennock this is on my dads side on mums one of my Kennedy great aunts by marriage her maiden name was Campbell ! And mums cousin Paul married a scotswoman so even in my Irish catholic family the affinity with Scots is strong !

Finn could actually pass for their child looks wise, and Brianna's (Sophie Skelton) half-brother (there is a resemblance somewhat in real life). His natural blue eyes, and hair (brown with red highlights) & beard (red) coloring fits Diana Gabaldon's book description of William too!

@@mcnoneya Never said it was just him. But this video is about his interview, so of course, I am going to talk about him. I'm not sure it's not personal, though. Not to a deep level but it does have to do with bias. There's been many guests at Jimmy Fallon's that are way less successful than Sam Heughan yet they got longer interviews. If it was just business, then a guy with a leading role in a very popular tv show, who also runs his own charity fundraiser successfully and is doing movies should not only have been invited a lot sooner, but also get a bit more of the interview.
I think he's being objectified and diminished as an actor just because his international breakthrough role was deemed "soft porn for women". And whoever thought that clearly hadn't seen Outlander's last half of season 1...
