Change my starter on my at 90k , im at my 3rd battery, Brakes at 70k. current miles 125k It is a 2015 2500hd crew cab 6.0 . I have done on the last 2 months every service, spark plugs, transmission, Differential, shocks, radiator flush, air filter, cab filter, .. Never go over 5k for oil change. Truck runs like new !!!
2024, None of those issues on my 2019 purchased in 2018. Only problem was a fuel level sensor giving erratic readings. Waited several months for the repair as GM admitted the replacements were also faulty. My dealership notified me when the good replacements came in.
I have the same truck. 2017 2500 Silverado 6.0. It’s at 180,000 miles now. The starter did indeed fail as stated here. Blend door actuators sometimes have delayed engagement, but still always work. The transmission also failed due to the torque converter coming apart, and apparently that’s common with these trucks
When you say the evap valve can cause pressure problems, could it be causing my tank to only be fillable a half gallon at a time? When I fill it sounds like pressure builds up, the gas pump stops like the tank is full, and if I try to fill more it shoots out the filler neck.
Dude, I’m a Chevy guy for 20+ years and the front end on my 2015 2500 6.6 is straight garbage. I had to rebuild the entire front end, including linkage at 100,000 miles and it’s still loose. redhead gear box is next which just seems insane.
Thanks for the video very helpful and good unbiased insight. I have a small husband looking to get another work truck. This will Be my first heavy duty truck. I am debating the F250 6.2 Gas 4WD, Silverado 6.6 gas 4WD, and Ram 1500 6.4 HEMI 4WD. Any opinions and what would you do if it was your money? I’m thinking that the Ford 6.2 gas engine is probably the lost reliable.
Great info, my truck is sluggish and exhaust system changed and engine still lazy, dealer costs me money n still lose power no light on, they were but code cleared, need help, where u located?
NO NO NO its not the AC/HEAT actuaters ...Its the vacuum source lines are leaking vacuum. And not being able to pull the diaphragms into position to actuate the vent system
Dont buy a 2018 silverado 1500. Transmissions shudder when they ownshift and the rear end clanks and thups when going over bumbs. They wont fix it no matter how hard you try

+ajfam871 We appreciate the feedback. Sometimes there are multiple ways to accomplish the same repair.
6.2 Boss is fine
6.2 is probably the most reliable of that bunch.
Thank you for the video you're doing it so well keep up the great work.

I own a 2015 Crew Cab 4x4 LT 6.0, with 289k. My exhaust manifold leaks. Replaced twice. At 160k. Again, at 220k. And I have another leak now.
Did these come displacement on demand ?
What about the rear end? Is this a 6.0?

How about vibration issues? That seems popular….
Doesn’t seem to be big issue. These trucks last forever

Has anyone had four wheeler drive issues with a 2015 silverado
When will 1500 come out?
You missed the most expensive common problem…torque converter. The stock torque converter is garbage.
What about the block engine heater Recall worried about it freezing in the cold weather of Minnesota
Same whit Tahoe 2010
No gas cap is just a plain stupid design , allowing a easy way for dirt to get in there to cause a leak.
To cause other unnecessary problems like emission issues, Good way to keep vehicles in the repair shops and part stores busy...
Mine has a gas cap. Jus say n. 2015
Good information
