It's weird how I like their music now that I am in my 30's. Growing up in the 90's this was considered 'baduy' My friends and I listened to Eheads and PNE and would go 'Ewwww' everytime Aegis starts playing on the radio. The girls vocal range is phenomenal and the lyrics are sweet. ❤️ from 🇨🇦
I have a similar experience... Although I love rock, I didn't grow up listening to Aegis nor heard their songs played at NU 107 (it's always other stations and played alongside April Boy Regino or whatnot - hence the "baduy" stigma). I would hear their music by chance being played on the streets or riding the bus and jeep. A few years ago (now at my mid-30s), we got to watch the DVD concert (Live in Calgary - which I highly recommend!) while on a bus to the province. Let me just say, it was definitely MY LOSS not loving them earlier. Aside from being natural-born powerhouses, the sisters are beautiful and terribly funny! I wish I was exposed to them earlier so I could have watched them live during their prime (still hoping to catch a live concert after pandemic). I honestly think they are the best Philippine rock band and the best rock singers out there. Their vocal range and control is unbelievable! They are the very definition of girl power.
