Good to do yourself, honda dealer took off during oil change to take Pic and try to sell me a new filter (@$180/hr) when they put cover back on, they popped off the gasket at the back, I found it wrinkled and half hanging out when I went to change the filter myself. Last my hood was opened was the Honda dealer so it was them.
I changed mine at 25,000 and right now I'm at 54 and some change so its going to be time for another one, going to wait till I get to 60,000 and do a full fluid, filter and belt change. Time for front brakes as well, lots of trip in the mountains and lots of dirt roads as well. I do runs from Northwest Ohio to south eastern Tennessee. Took mine home in march 2018 and so far has been good, doing my oil changes at or around 5,000 and once I switched to 5w-20 it really made a difference in the oil pressure engine quieted way down. Mobil-1 5W-20 and Honda oil filters.
Crap, I changed mine at 6.000 miles as it looked pretty dirty to me. Then I looked at the one in the video after 15.000 miles, I guess I changed mine way too early.... Dang it...
This was extremely helpful. Especially when the dealership charges 125 just for one filter to be changed out.

The fact that a dealership charges like 75 dollars for a 1 min job is insane
Good video you make it look simple. I think I'll do mine thanks to you. Kudos!
Thanks…!
