You talk about linking faders in this video. If I have 10-12 for drums some panned out for a stereo mix can I link all the drum faders to 1 fader as if it was a sub group/DCA? Also if I have a computer hooked up to the LS9 does that help to navigate through screens any faster?
I have a question about the LS9-32 that I am hoping you can answer. Can you have 64 digital inputs going into the LS9 or does the first 32 have to be connect directly (analogue)? I was hoping that I could use a digital snake to connect all inputs digitally. Also if I am recording to a DAW via Ethernet will the first 32 channels be recorded since they are digital inputs?
They should put little screen in each tracks like control 24 to tell you the name. they kinda taking that out in digital mixers. Avid still kicking it tho, but most Digital mixer should come with it because its really helpful.
I was doing monitors with this console and I was trying so hard to find a way to send my 4 vocals with a little reverb to the mixes (monitors). Couldn't find a logical way to do the assignment for that internal rack FX...
No problem with your video, but the fact you have to stick three rows of insulation tape on your console, just to make it understandable is crazy on a digital mixer. Yamaha should have included scribble strips.
I really enjoyed this tutorial. This is great justification for me to recommend this mixer for my church! God bless you!
Trisna is the best Engineer in the world
yes. you can also set them to go to your 4 stereo outs i believe.
I would hire you for a setup any day! great job...

Santa Susana High School uses this in their PAC. I'm a junior and going to be operating this board for shows.

I have a LS9, in my studio I have a lot of noise and she joins in the microphones are there any LS9 option for the elimination of noise????

do you think this mixer is better for studio recording or for live?
I am just curious. What kind of speakers are you using for your mains?
