    this is stunning; thanks for explaining the patch in detail. I was trying to figure out how you were getting so much polyphony out of a single panel; beautiful

    The sheer musicality of this piece is stunning. I didn’t expect this at all from a modular synth. I was expecting some cool effects and what have you but nothing so substantial.
    Harmonically, it’s so simple, but gorgeous. The ebb and flow of the changing textures and rhythms keeps it interesting the whole time.
    Amazing job.

      This is what it sounds like when someone can actually "play" modular.
      Few people that own these instruments can use them to their full potential.

    I had a serge modular but it was way over my head at that time . So I traded it for a system 15 Moog that a Musik friend had with many cigarette burns in the shin of it and it smelled moldy. But after it warmed up the drones and voice like sounds were mesmerizing! And of course one note chords! Etc!

    Are these available for DIY somewhere? That was a DOPE demo. Also can these be built with either 1/8 or 1/4 jacks rather than banana? I can do either.

    • @musaceae_modular
      @musaceae_modular  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! There are a few places you can buy Serge banana synths to DIY. Check these out:
      www.elby-designs.com/contents/en-us/d79_Best_of_CGS_-_BOCGS.html
      Elby also do Serge models in Eurorack format, if you want to use 3.5mm jacks.

    Delicious. What sequencer is that?

    • @musaceae_modular
      @musaceae_modular  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. The COA sequencer panel was a limited edition panel. It uses CGS DIY modules from Ken Stone. I think you can buy them now from Elby Designs.

      Thanks for the info. Ive listened to so many times. You should name the peice if you havent already. Did you ever record it?
      What delay did you use?
      Thanks

    • @musaceae_modular
      @musaceae_modular  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks again! The piece was only ever intended as a quick demo of the flexibility of these panels and was composed and recorded in about 30 minutes. I might name it one day if I think of something suitable. I think the delay used was the H-Delay which is a Waves plugin.

  • @X77-g2j
    @X77-g2j 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is excellent, very dreamy. The sequencers are tuned in a really satisfying and expressive way. I'm curious to know how you went about tuning the sequencer steps? The results of tuning by ear or with a tuner rather than a quantizer can be really interesting! Do you have a system you've worked out for tuning each step? The tuning must have taken some time. Nicely done.

    • @musaceae_modular
      @musaceae_modular  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +X77 Thanks! Everything was just tuned by ear until I was happy with it.
