Andis Super AGR+ Clipper Repair

- This Clipper is a Super AGR+. Meaning it is one speed but instead of being the low speed like a AGR, it has the faster speed. Super AGR+ is faster than the AGR. The AGRV is the same but it is variable speed. This is a basic repair. Clean the motor and check all the pieces. I change The drive and reseat the brushes.
Pros....It can be cord or cordless. It is the faster version of the AGR series. Lightweight with a cord pack.
Cons....Need to maintenance regularly. It don't have any other speeds. Expensive.

You are welcome.. They do not offer parts for the Andis SuperLiners, sorry and it is a sealed motor so you can't replace the bearings. Make sure the blade is seated well You can try to oil the blade, if you have not. So if something is broken, i can not fix it. But if it is under warranty call Andis and they will take care of it. wow thanks that little metal piece that goes under the battery opener fell out when. I opened mine and I couldn't figure how to put it back in but after watching your video I saw where it was and u even pointed it out an said not to loose it...lol thanks again bro much appreciated

Hi Nick, I need your help if possible.You know, I want to buy a machine AGR + 65340 (Vet pack clipper set) or AGR + 64800, since these come with a suitcase and its accessories These machines are 1 speed and come with battery, but I want to ask you the following:1) It is possible to place the cable of the Power Groom + 5-Speed machine, which allows to regulate 5 speeds in the rear part. (AGRV 5-Speed cord pack 63365). So you can get the battery and have 5 speeds. Or are they incompatible?2) In my country 220 volt is used, so, my question is if I buy a model that comes with 110v, it is possible to buy the cable that works at 220v. Sorry i missed this comment. The transformer would regulate the power. The charger would need to be 220v to not be ruined while charging the battery. You could use a transformer converter from 220 to 110 and technically use that or you could find a 220v transformer with the same battery output or specs output of the original transformer but it be made to input 220v to the dc output of the original. i hope i answered your questions correctly. My motor is running slow , I bought a new battery and and it still is slow . Do you have any recommendations?
It's possible that the motor needs to be serviced.
Just Wana thank you bro. My bgr was in a flood, and I thought I would need a new one but I took it fully part and now it’s working. By the way. I lost one of the brush springs so I used one from the oster 76 and it works perfectly. 👍🏾💪🏾👌🏾!!!!!!!!
Great video! Is it possible to repair the bgrv cord, if the cord have a shorts in it? Right next to the volume controller in the wire the. .
In general, shorts in cords are usually fixable. It will all depend on where the break is. I couldn't recommend anything specifically without seeing the clipper for myself, but anything is possible. Good Luck!
Important question, is there a reset for the power supply. I tried to use my clipper in France, It never worked, the Power supply may be reset. Urgent Thanks
Nigel John hello. Sorta it has reset. There is a fuse inside that can be over loaded and you can reset it by unplugging for a few hours if it hasn't blown the fuse. You can check the with an ohm meter
if i use a 4.8vdc transformer, it's ok? can you help me on that? my andis agr+ battery is almost dead, can hold charge only for 5 minutes, and the replacement battery is way too expensive, and the cord adaptor too.
i do not know if it starts to smoke then probably not lol
Hey man, I have a bgrc that has lost a lot of its previous power. I thought it was the battery but its the same with the chord connected. The power is low and it sort of revs every once in a while. Would hate to throw it away and have to buy a new one. Have any suggestions? Thanks much!
+Vinnie Todd's Barber and Store Well usually i can fix with just a service by adjusting the brushes and replacing brush springs to make better contact with the motor. If that don't fix the problem it will need an armature but thats still cheaper than buying a new one. I recommend getting it repaired if you know the batteries are good. Thanks for watching

Yes but youll need a lithium charger
Cloud's Diamond Sharpening what charger would you recommend if there’s one to accommodate? Or can you modify the current base as well?
@@Dlewis77777 it would be to hard to modify the charger and not cost effective. If you manually put lithium batteries into the battery pack you'll need like a hobby rc car store lithium charge and solder alligator clips on it. The chargers are about $50 or just buy the new lithuim

Hello! Thank you for this helpful video! I have saved several clippers thanks to you. One problem I have is on the batteries, one of the metal charging port/tab things breaks loose sometimes. It that repairable? I have been resorting to buying new batteries when that happens but you know, we can't keep doing that.
Sarai Lorraine hello. Np, I'm glad I can help. If the housing of the battery case isn't broken it can be supper glued back on but if the housing is broke then you will have to buy a new one bc no parts are available. Thanks for watching
Hi I’m hoping you could help. I’m actually very surprised there aren’t any videos on TH-cam about repairing the AGR/BGR battery packs, as andis quit selling them and I don’t have the cord kit and don’t want to spend a ridiculous 125 dollars for one that they fetch nowadays. Do you happen to know what ni metal battery they used for the packs? I’m hoping they aren’t some proprietary size. Someone could really make a lot of money offering a rebuild service, I know a lot of people out there still prefer these clippers and I’d gladly pay for a rebuild, just not the absurd 150 new batteries are going for on the grey market and who knows how old they are or will last. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I do not repair the battery packs and I'm not familiar with anyone else who does.

I replaced my armature plus brushes and its still fluctuating in power . so it has to be the springs right???

Cloud's Diamond Sharpening its got to be hair in the switch. Because sometimes they wont turn on or i turn them on and off and then each time they have a different speed
Sir...Will the AGR charger work for charging a BGRC?? The charger is so much cheaper.
biblical giants hello . yes it should. but you can also just buy the cheap AGR charger and buy the AGR battery for the charger.

I dont want to get new one, i want to open battery and replace AA batterys cause inside is apparently 4 AA's
ja on well you'll have to get the same NIMH battery rechargeable, the same volts and mAh or you will damage the clipper. Then bust it open with a flat head screws driver. Break it along the seem.

Switch went, is there away to fix it
David Hinds yes you can try electric clean and clean hair out of switch or just resolder the brush to the other side of the switch and flip it so it turns on correctly
