Wonderful interview. I loved learning about Martin’s journey. It was like watching a live documentary. So cool! Martin shared so many valuable experiences as a professional jazz musician. Think, Sing, Play was my favorite. Thank you Martin for sharing your history. I learned so much from this interview. Thank you Samuel for hosting talking music. Martin mentioned having a mentor is so important in learning music. I consider you my mentor Samuel. You’re an incredible professional flamenco guitarist.

Fascinating ! Thank you. I remember going to see Martin at the Victoria Hotel in Menai Bridge, ages ago , on two occasions, once with Jack Emblow . Totally amazing , both times. Wonder if Martin remembers those gigs ?!

Classical Guitarists are bad sight readers too. Just about every new piece they learn has different systems / elements / arrangements to the others. I read it for five years. I once played at a 'soiree' with a Graduate (BMus) Classical Guitarist - and they couldn't sight read a chord chart to a well known folk tune. For fun, they liked to play children's songs and simple folk tunes. That left me wondering 'why did they get a Degree ?'
