I love destiny 2 for it's pvp and raids but yet this sbmm got me wanting to uninstall. I am trying new builds but it's like everyone using all the same loadouts to sweat. There is such a thing as sbmm in ranked aka trials and comp mode. Us solo que players punished hard.

Most QP matches lately are sweatier than trials. It's ridiculous how much try harding goes on in a control game. People are so precious about their stats. Really takes whatever fun was left out of the games.
I can’t play pvp rn literally every match is just full of sweats using meta weapons makes the game such a drag to play.

Yeah thats what happens when tryhards and kda farmers (many streamers included in this category) try to abuse matchmaking.
But i have to point out that Trials is NOT SBMM, another reason why the mode favours stacking and one of the major reasons it bleeds players.
I disagree I run around like an idiot and get a 1KD and have a great time, you only care because you also care about your stats. The game's fun when you just play 🤷🏼♂️

I hate the fact that right now I need to sit on my ass with pulse at the back of the map and corner peek every once in a while because it is the only playstyle allowed in Control. Just wait for who peeks first to win all gunfights because NTTE does that for me by itself. And abilities? Useless because the moment you turn corner you get 5 people teamshotting you.

haha same thing happened to me. made half of them take the suspension 😂 they all used cheese and pulse rifles and i used hc shotty and destroyed them. the guys who dodged had 12k hours in crucible with a 4.14 overall and the other guy had 8k hours with a 3.33 k/d

Sbmm is dogwater and needs removed for every single pvp game for non-ranked or competitive. It is killing so many good pvp titles and these companies are blind to it

Why do so many people have a dislike for the PVP? Is it the cheese builds that one tap everything? The Linears? The grenades that seem as though they follow you forever? The Resilience meta that makes Titan easily the best?

The meta is not fun, SBMM sucks, Bungie doesn’t add anything new, they keep pushing in things that help people who play pvp 3 times a week max for the pinnacle and not care about their playerbase that actively plays pvp. All in all, crucible is not fun and it’s shitty

You answered yourself. I would add that endlessly playing the same maps is unfun, and Bungie does nothing to add flavor to pvp. Arguably could say the same thing about pve though, compared to wow / ff14 or other mmos the company does really nothing to add to the game or retain it's playerbase except for an insane grind - especially for what you pay, it really is a shame.
I play a lot of PvP and have always ignored the negativity but I gotta say even I feel frustrated at the state of PvP currently. From what I've observed the biggest problems are:
- Ability Spam: Titans abilities especially atm, storm nades, practically infinite barricade with tier 10 resil made even more annoying with Citans. Hunter Tripmines with Ahamkaras, cheesy Warlock arc slide melee etc.
- SBMM meaning you can get paired with people on the other side of the planet. Also SBMM doesn't seem to work as intended, I've been in countless lobbies where my team will completely 💩 on the other side or where I will be top fragging and my teammates are all negative. There needs to be some kind of team balancing.
- on PC DMT is out of control, totally broken. Like, I mean your grandma can hit headshots blindfolded kind of broken. It's been the most used weapon in trials, regardless of the map, every week since the last buff.
- Comp is not rewarding beyond platinum. Also it's SBMM instead of ranked based MM which makes little sense.
Control became more CBMM after streamers were complaining about how stressful it was, so this video feels weird watching it.
You just got blocked a few times by a teammates. If I got 1$ for everytime I got blocked I would be gifting lightfall to everyone I know

I was a QP player, but since the sbmm pvp is really not enjoyable anymore. It really feels like a tournament everytime, i miss it when you could just chill and have a good time in pvp.
Sbmm is trash. You can break it to by teaming up with low skill players which is also trash. They should’ve left it alone.
