Carvoeiro, Algarve, Portugal

Formerly a fishing village, Carvoeiro is flanked on either side by the sandstone sea cliffs characteristic of southern Portugal. The town's horsehoe-shaped bay is hailed as one of the Algarve's best beaches, with golden sand backed by whitewashed Mediterranean houses.

We’re staying at the mirachoro hotel carvoeiro I think that was at the top where you turned round and went back down the hill … how long did it take to walk there ? Is the hill very steep ? 😎

It’s quite steep and can be a little slippery walking in the cobbles so wear hood footwear. It is a pleasant and beautiful walk and there are plenty bars to sit and have a rest on the way back up. It’s a good 15 minute walk.

Thankyou for replying..we were last there 20 years ago with our best friends for their honeymoon 😄 we are going back with them to celebrate and I don’t really remember the surrounding area … we had a lovely time and remember the lovely restaurants but will probably have to get a taxi back up the hill this time round 😂😎
