But the singing is hella cringe 95% of the time.
I love how the movie portrayed mk as in the wrong because she didn't believe that literal leafmen existed even though the dad broke the entire family for this mess💀
I feel like it would have made so much more sense if him and his wife had worked on the research together, then she dies or something when M.K. is five and he throws himself into work and is unable to take care of her cus of grief and stuff. Then M.K. comes back years later because he says he’s gotten better than boom, rest of the story unfolds the same.
My brothers and I laughed SO hard at the "flat-faced mommy" bit when we first saw it (2:48). The slugs definitely stole the show. I don't remember much of the movie, but as I recall, MK and Nod were kind of irritating, tbh. It was still fun to watch, though. Also, the fact that Mandrake, the villain, was actually NICE to his son Dagda - even going so far as to abandon his attack on the queen when Dagda was injured - was an unexpected break from the norm of bad guys belittling their offspring. It made us a good deal more sympathetic to him than we had any reason to be.
yes! i liked that too, Mandrake was a proud father that just wanted his son to have a great kingdom while not belittling nor babying him, truly just trying to show him the ropes, oddly a great dad and its something you dont see in villains often

Mub and Grub are one of the few comedic relief characters that don’t know how to fight that I actually don’t find annoying (I also love how much of a simp Mub was for MK)
