I love the rawness of this version! You can definitely tell that it had the potential to become a great track and obviously did! But I love love love this song so much!
I think Chvrches should have continued with this scrappy, raw sound. I love the idea of a garage synth-pop band with Lauren as a sort of electronic punk badass.
they've recently done a different version of this that's been doing the rounds lately, i reckon the production is well better on this version, its gritty, darker and fuller, the newer one is a bit cleaner and scaled back

This is the superior version. Was released as a single in 2012

They would became my favourite band of all time. But the way they choose is very solid too.
Still great. Proper "songs of faith and devotion" depeche mode style. Man, that chorus.

one of the best tracks i've heard all year. great melody
This is that 2012 version that was on a lot of synth pop mix tapes in Europe during that time
I love their techno-80's style!:) really original!
my fave song from them
This is the jam... the original
Going to see them in march
Great band. Sounds very 80's, and that's good.
Love this song
Yes -- before it was sanded down for the radio. Nice.
Great band nice one
I don't know if I prefer this mix or not.. this one sounds like it was produced by Jeff Lynne in the late 80's with those drums.. still great though!
This isn't a mix.
It has a different sound to the released, some instruments are placed differently, it is an early/working mix of the finished track.
Bob Ransome Nope.
What would you say it is then? It's too similar to the released version to be an alternate take.
really good song
Need and instrumental of this !!!
th-cam.com/video/1k6kMZQ3bXc/w-d-xo.html The official instrumental.
I would love to see these live on the same billing as The Mirrors.
great pic also
Sick beat
If Mike Stipe/REM covered this it would be banging. Equally.
There is a Video Clip of this version, but the band deleted it. 😞
maybe one day....
Best girlfriend ever ;)
only because I got you tickets :P
Way better version
Lauren sounds so much better in this version
