Cena breaking the record would solidify him as one of the greatest of all time. In this video, I book John Cena's final WWE championship and final run in the WWE. Before I quit watching wrestling, I just want to see Cena winning a 17th title. For what he has done to the WWE and wrestling in general is still under appreciated imo, and he deserves that 17th title more than anyone else (excluding Randy). If Flair's record is to be broken, it only has to be either Randy or Cena.
Overpushed charlotte doesn't deserve to break it, even then we could still say the most MENS title wins.

Cena's retirement should not be an emotional one but a happy one, he can put talent over as much as he wants but his final match should be against edge/orton and he needs to win that match and should gladly end his career btw the video was awesome.

I honesty would prefer if Randy was a 15x champ and he beat John in Wrestlemania 39 to be the 16x champ and Cena and Orton share a long moment in the ring raise each other’s hands and end the greatest rivalry in wrestling history

If you are accepting suggestions for this series, I hope you try and think through how the King of Strong Style gets to unseat the Head of the Table.
I think with the controversy surrounding Ric Flair recently, WWE is probably thinking about granting Cena a 17th world title to break the record, but on the other hand, Cena refuses to break that record out of pure respect for the Nature Boy.
However, based on this fantasy booking, I can truly imagine how amazing one final run on the edge of the mountain in WWE would be for John Cena. He's one of, if not the greatest figures in pro wrestling history.
