Helpful! To my ears: UAD sounded the cleanest and most "open" somewhat pumpy on the bass track. Waves sounded the most saturated overall TRacks and Tone Empire both sounded the punchiest. Really noticeable on the drums. Overall, it helps to have a good recording!
Não faço ideia como soa o hardware, mas surpreendentemwnte o Waves soou melhor em todos os audios, principalmente ouvindo em um smaerphone. Obrigado pelo video.
The Firechild is a little more individual. Tone Empire has emulated three different models (A, B, C) here, and instead of the Time Constant, which determines both attack and release time, the Firechild has only a setting for the release time. This is of course noticeable in a direct comparison to the three other Fairchild emulations. I think with the Firechild it makes sense to try out which tube model sounds best with which signal. I thought about doing this, but decided against it in order not to falsify the result.
Hello und many thanks for your comment! They compress the same amount, but the response times (and ratio) are often different from each other. There are several reasons for this: Depending on how old a tube compressor is or how often it was used, it behaves and sounds differently. Since the plugins were emulated by real hardware and every manufacturer uses different methods of emulation and has a different vision of the finished plugin, such plugins often sound and behave very differently. Therefore, a perfect matching is hardly possible. Here I (attempted) to align gain reduction and level as much as possible so that the differences between the various compressors are noticeable and one is not blinded too much by different volume levels. This is actually not easy to implement. I'm sorry that you felt this was negative and I hope I was able to give you some clarity as to the perceived loudness in this case.
Hi, my favorite is the UAD Fairchild. It sounds a little more neutral to my ears, which I find very pleasant. But I also like to use the Puigchild, which has meanwhile become a real classic in my arsenal :)
This is why I use Nebula.... Mojo....Farichild..live analog Sampled Audio...FX...+ Tim P BLUE MU V2 in Fairchild Mode... Or Mojo...and Acustica Aduio Ultramarine Comp...either way....I got the Same thing For $25 - $150 Full Fairchild...Warmth...Analog Harmonic Distorion and Compression...for a Fraction of the Cost
They all do similar job and and the mix you will not hear any difference. There are some tonal differences and I like how UAD sounds but it could be bias.
I always come back to the IK T Racks 670 compressor even though I like the UAD Fairchild too!
to my ears it was the most subtle and smooth. I liked the T-racks version myself.

The UAD is SILK on vocals!

Tu conseguiu perceber diferenças ouvindo em um smartphone?!
I thought the firechild by tone empire sounded really bad across the board. There wasnt one application I thought it did really well. Interesting 🤔

. . . Yes . . . ! . . . A , B , C , Off . . . I like B for Balance . . . ! . . . :-)

I think tone is the top for low mid energy
you sure they are compressing the same amount and perfectly compensated in the output? Some of them sound quite louder

Which one you prefer?

Conclusion.... they all sound like a plug-in 😅
😆
Yeah cause it's better to buy the 30k hardware😂
Puigchild is the best to me. The guitar sounda so fake tho.
Thanks for your comment! As far as I remember, I used Native Instruments' Session Guitarist for the guitar. So yeah, its kind of fake 😆
Tone empire is the devil
Is that good or bad in this case?😆
@@ColorfulTonesStudio very good compressor have it and optored and they are close to the hardware
UAD
Wave was awful. The UAD and IK sounded very similar. Firechild was unpleasant for some reason
