Hello Young Lady, I am a Accountant and 50. Wow your company still uses 3 systems. I have not done that in 20 years. I work in the insurance industry and we use AIM. It's an accounting system just for insurance. At my age I am glad for the one system and not using multiple monitors. I developed virtigo from all the systems and monitors. I am in cruise control and have paid my dues with the late night closes. Bless you lady and after the first week, you will be sailing🤓 again. GOD BLESS YOU.

The last 3 years of my corporate life I primarily worked from home, if I wasn't traveling, and those last 3 years were the absolute best for me! I work at a medical billing company and have for 13 I think going on 14 years now. I've been in (very loose term) management going on 4 of those years; but I remember the HOURS put in at month end trying to balance financial spreadsheets to the day and the penny to the reports in the system. And I'm terrible at math!! It's very stressful...I think the latest I stayed one night was 8:30 or 9, having gotten to work at 6.

I used to do medical billing. The last week of the month was always crazy. I would have to make sure I posted all of my payments as well as get all of my claims out for the month. The earliest I went in was 7:00 am and left at 7:30 pm. The only reason I left at 7:30 pm is because my office husband wouldn't let me stay later because I'd been there for 12hrs😂. It's exhilarating once I finish and have no payments or claims in my bins. This brings back so many memories. Tfs💕
Sis I would prefer close to public accounting any day. I would love to get out before 7pm and not have to log back in but childddddddddd that ain't it. I cant wait to leave public accounting for good.
