At the other end, I was 10 yrs old when both my parents walking together, died, after being hit by a drunken driver.. My world had been uprooted. I felt like a Ballon with no anchor. I lost my family, my home, my safety net. As a teenager I began seeking. Why did this happen to 'me'? What is the point to life? . Why am I here? I am flawed! . Different! Why can't I function like others? An outer, then inner journey unfolded over decades, revealing many glimpses and shifts, and after many more years, a shift of identity to being this that is always Aware, here and now, suddenly happened.
After so much suffering and confusion, I see this major event orchestrated by God/ Source, devastating and life altering for this little being, was the 'Kiss of God' as Rupert beautifully stated. Such a mystery how Life plays.

This poor lady is so entrenched in identifying with the body; feelings and sensations. In her understanding there's always still a subject; that needs to be experiencing or feeling something. Freedom is the release of the very condition of material existence. The answer to her question is that her beautiful son is as real now as he was 26 years ago. ...just free of the condition of a fixed, finite ego perspective. Separation is suffering, and her son suffers no separation. He is quite literally, with God. But one needs to give up all ideas of God being something that the finite individual can define and understand using the separate mind. I pray that one day she gets a glimpse of freedom from suffering and can establish true faith. Rupert's explanation was beautiful.

My cat died at the age of 2 after the dog's attack. When he was dying, I was crying then. But what struck me at that moment, my cat was purring, he was very peaceful. And after ten years time I still can't forget it, death is not we should worry about... Though from the childhood we are tought the opposite because of the lack of understanding.

  • @alfogel3298

The death of her child was the impetus that began her search and longing for Truth, Happiness, God Realization. But the answers cannot come from the mind. In reality , the mind has to disappear before one can become who or what we already are: God Conscious. We are all God but not God Realized. But someday-according to Meher Baba -we all will become what we already are and as Rupert implies by his insightful analogy of the Blue Sky: one way is to get rid of the clouds that prevent us from seeing the Blue Sky-our true Self and a major obstacle is the mind itself.
    Avatar Meher Baba once discoursed:
“Mind wants to know that which is beyond mind. To know that
which is beyond mind, mind must go-vanish, leaving no vestige
of itself behind. The humour of it is, the mind, which is finite,
wants to retain itself and yet know Truth, which is infinite. This is
the position of those who seek Truth through intellect. Few grasp
this fact, and so most grope and grapple in vain. “
    -Meher Baba

I love your work, and I like where you finally went with this question. We do not know that individuation of consciousness is temporary. The Earthly brain/mind is temporary, but what of the "afterlife"? We do not know for sure whether or not there is an afterlife, exactly what form it could take, whether there is any continued individuation of consciousness. It is my conviction and, to some extent, experience that this individuation of consciousness continues after death. I feel like she was looking for more reassurance along that line.

What a beautiful and gracious explanation of these things. Very healing. Also, may describe the phenomena of "vanishing twin." Apparently, the twin that is left in the womb, registers the presence and loss of the vanishing twin, and is affected for the lifetime by it. And the parent often doesn't know. Except that in this day of ultra sound, these things are more readily seen and known.

Truth be told, I was ambivalent about bringing politics into this but it's well known now(and perhaps moreso due to the Democratic convention) that Joe Biden lost his first wife and a child in a horrific car accident very early in his political career. Naturally the trauma would have made him grief stricken for a time but it seemingly gave rise to a compassion as shown in the televised presentation which was evident during that time he was travelling by train with the other passengers and the train conductor as well.

She doesn’t understand when you die you don’t become a separate entity on the other side , that would be keeping the Ego also on the other side there is no ego on the other side, your counciuosness thru that body simply dissolves And the separate self is no more, you become the One non binary , only this world is binary and we fall into a vail of forgetting who we are when we come into this world , then you believe you are the body when in reality you always was the One (awareness)

I am not sure about guidance in life. Also not sure about if suffering can be seen as pointers to god.
The reason is that I grew up with these (christian) ideas and therefore took all suffering on the chin and showed a positive attitude. until the 'system' broke down and c-ptsd was revealed. I think it is a nice story with some nice words but not much more than that.

    • @TheJooberjones
      @TheJooberjones 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Kuling 98 life and death are complementary modulations of consciousness, allowing for transformation of form and emptiness. Life and death happens at every instant, just this moment you are renewed, born again completely fresh. But our mind creates the illusion of permanence, some entity being carried through again and again, repetitive thought patterns of “me”, which cannot be found. If you can enter death consciously aka enlightenment, you can live in “eternity’s sunrise”, as william blake put it. The human being represents the potential for this quantum leap between the relatively unconscious animal to the timeless divine presence.

The ego is nothing but the imagination, so instead of trying to remove it, sink back in your experience and see that all that is there is a collection of thoughts, feelings and images appearing in your mind.
