Great video and great advice about trapping. The future of trapping is our young ,son's, daughter's, grand kids neighbors . Without them our trapping and hunting will be gone and lost forever. So take a kid with you and show them this great outdoors!!!!!
Keep up the awesome work trapping I'm just modified my 330 with a kill bar awesome for otters but getting fish to 7th them well hope to see more of the video
You know your a Yankee when Missouri is down south....coming from a cajun who lives 20 miles from the gulf of Mexico in south Louisiana....everything north of I-10 is Yankee country from here...nice video
That stuff works, I promise you- I went into a local Minnesota bar, with a bottle of Missouri Mud Sauce in one pocket-and $5,000 bucks in the other- within minutes I had beaver coming at me from all directions! :-)
Thanks pal! I actually have used 280s. They are a fantastic trap. I prefer them for otters actually. When I'm beaver trapping though I want the widest jaw spread I can get to accommodate a really big beaver incase one of them freakish 70+ lbers show up. But I have used them for beaver and had great success
Ok that makes sense and its always been my dream to get one in a foothold on a brownding wire and I keep getting sprung traps or some that are pulled half down the wire but no beaver any ideas what I am doing wrong
again thanks for the morning entertainment , I really enjoyed this series , il be at er full blast this coming weekend still a lil to much ice on the smaller creeks here in NE Ontario I find that after about 10-14 days after ice out they are bit pretty bad , do you have this problem in Minnesota as well ? thanks again
+Bob Lee Yup sounds bout right Bob. Usually about 2 weeeks after ice out they start to get bit up pretty bad. I can still catch decent beaver here in the ponds where theres only 1 colony but creeks and rivers they go bad fast
330 MaNiaC Thanks I’m trying to figure out who to talk to their fur bearer biologist had no clue what I was talking about. Down here we write permits on behalf of the state. Idk if they do that up there, trying to learn MN dnr layout it’s convoluted
Because they are very destructive. They flood farmland. They undermine shoreline and roads causing damage. They are nature's engineers and also their demise.

Great video! What do you mean "a brown colored beaver"? Aren't they all brown?
No you can get blond colored ones or pitch black colored ones but they are rare
Thanks for clearing that up for me.
How can I get you to come to our lake in Minnesota over run with beavers
Depends on where its located
dear hunter, what kind of bait(lure) at the beaver do You use?
ЧТО ЗА ПРИМАНКА В БУТЫЛКАХ.
Always luv ur vids maniac good luck with the mushrooms just curious how many beavers u got this year
thanks pal! I had a slower than usual year but caught around 130.
+330 MaNiaC holly crap man I can't imagine catching that many beavers that's crazy
Nice work ! Do you sell the hides ?

about 9 years ago I caught 467 that year.
+330 MaNiaC man that's a ton of beaver
Hey I’m moving to MN from N.C.. I am a damage control agent in N.C. what do I have to do to be able to do depredation work in MN
I would contact the Minnesota DNR and ask them what you need to do exactly
330 MaNiaC Thanks I’m trying to figure out who to talk to their fur bearer biologist had no clue what I was talking about. Down here we write permits on behalf of the state. Idk if they do that up there, trying to learn MN dnr layout it’s convoluted
I was wondering about the gun at the end. is it a shotgun and what gauge?
found the answer in later comments, thanks anyway
Shotgun 😂
Hello from Russia!!! What kind od video camera do You use? The video quality is very good!
have to ask....... what kind of gun is that in your video???
it's my old Savage bolt action .22 had it my whole life and use it to dispatch my catches when needed.
+330 MaNiaC it looked older thats why I asked... All the best and good luck mushroom hunting!!
sparky7032 Thanks!!
how much money you get from one beaver
Not much. sometimes not even enough to pay for my gas
oh
lurrrrrrr
tanks you location im italy
Do land owners pay you to do this?
Yes sometimes
I always associate trapping with French woodsman in pre-colonial times! I didn't know many people still did it!
We still do it all over the country. It's been in my family for 4 generations now but we're germans lol
loy nas
Why are you doing this? Poor beavers.
Because they are very destructive. They flood farmland. They undermine shoreline and roads causing damage. They are nature's engineers and also their demise.
