Yeah some of them are like $5,000 like what the fuck… I don’t do it.. but I would just go to Home Depot and grab a massive trash can and do it that way!!! Lol $30 or so 🤷🏻‍♂️ easy or call waste management and get another huge trash can delivered to your house and could use that too! Harder to get out!! But saves you thousands lol

@GenesisG70 not in the end with the amount of ice you would buy. They are insulated and you would literally have to buy ice every time which could cost any where between 50 and 100$ each time in ice. The ice would just melt by your next use. So you would need something at least like what this guy has. If it was that easy companies wouldn't be able to sell them for so much.

The water prob wouldn’t have been mid 40s if he throughly mixed the entire tub up. He’s measuring just the top layer where the ice floats.
Also it’s pretty impractical to use 8 huge tubs of ice everytime and have space to freeze them.
Works for him but prob not 95% of people, especially considering it’s already super hard to consistently get in cold plunges regardless of how easy it is to set them up.

@@matthill2957 it is when you do the math. I’ve been plunging for over 2 years so I need it really cold. To get it between 30-35 degrees would cost me about $400-$500 a month on ice.
That doesn’t consider the fact that plunges are anywhere from 80-150 gallons of water that you need to toss every 1-2 weeks. That’s a cost there.
So for $4000 I get a cold plunge that doesn’t need to be changed because it has a filter built in, I don’t need ice because it keeps the temp at 35 degrees for me.
My friend spends about $3,000 a year to maintain his plunge because he has to do all the steps. I don’t. It’s not a waste

You should put hot water in your containers. It will freeze faster. No cap. Google it. Remember that from my physical science classes as a kid. 🎉

Actually putting cold water in the freezer doesn’t make it freeze faster try boiling water the shock of energy make the water freeze faster science is pretty cool

rather than reuse your dirty water, just turn your tap on cold for a wial. the amount of freezing time won't be very noticeable.

I ran a copper pipe into the same size freezer, with a water pump. It push the water in and out the other way it was in the 35s in the am. This way i save water and only turn it on when im going to use it. So the night before on. Ready in the am

Just buy an older fridge with a ice maker and take out the stop on the ice maker bucket. Put your own lager bucket and boom free 5gallon buckets of ice. Way to much work with the tuper ware
