In case i am using mysql tables of one is having countries and other is having city list each having countryid and cityid respectiverly. The city table can have additional countryid field to show which country the city is form. Can we add data from the tables and have the same procedure done?
I'm trying to expand the select drop down menu to include a local government area so I copied and pasted the code you used to create the cities but it didn't work. That is, I'm trying to do three drop downs: country, state and local government. Please, help.

Very wrong approach, will you add 300 if else for all countries ????
Ideal way is make proper JSON like:
var countryList = "country1": [state1, state2...... ],
"country2": [state1, state2...... ],
"country3": [state1, state2...... ]....
now on country selection change get all states like:
countryList[dropdownCountryValue]
it's only for limited content, unless you need to use jquery ajax
