This is from "Kings of the Sun". In late '63, I had just turned 13. It was cold out even at 11 am (in Wyoming), and all I had was $1.50. I could not go home until that night, so I convinced the theater that I was still 12 and got in for $1. I sat there in the warmth and watched that movie 4 times in a row. With $.50 for popcorn, I finally left after 7 pm. I loved that movie (and the 8 hours of warm).

So did I. However, I only paid $.35 admission as a kid. I watched the movie only thrice. Great flick. I still remember the theme song today.

Might not be the most historically accurate, but probably has some of the best tactics for actually fighting. The Mayan army maintains their formation, using the fire to both slow down the enemy to allow the archers time to lay into them, and breaking up the enemy formation, turning what could have been a devastating charge into a sloppy and drawn out push.

Yeah, the Chichimec force seems to be wielding iron macuahuitl for some reason. Even if this was post-Spanish involvement they wouldn't have been given iron or taught how to make cleaver/swords. Mesoamerican tribes made up the bulk of Spanish forces even before they took on the Aztecs, but they were never given modern weapons or training, they were used as basic muscle.

more than.. 100k... they were rounding the 150k. when the conquistadores took Moctezuma.. Cuitlahuac a prince and one brother of the Emperor recalled all the mexica army just laying one or two to defend the north from chichimecas and purepechas. Even Cuitlahuac asked help to his enemies.. Purepechas trying to expel the invaders.. few nations came to help aztecs in exchange of freedom.. but they were doomed...

@@jenaroayala5731 maybe because they were few? Cortez secretly hide the info about the Aztecs and their wealth on the Empire, now imagine if Cortez will sent a letter along with gold as evidence to the Emperor about the Aztecs gold wealth. Aztecs would surely lose against the might of Spanish empire.
