Soo unusual, so beautiful! Love the colors and the way they are grown in raised beds....spectacular effects. 💚💛❤. Fun fact : The Sarracenia purpurea was adopted as Newfoundland and Lablador's floral emblem in 1954 yr. This plant was/ is growing in nearby woodland, mossy wetlands 😊.
You’ve inspired me to sent for two small trumpets 🎺, as the dog goes med when hearing flies. Hopefully, these lovely trumpets will be the answer. Also they can lure the 🦟 away from the fruit trees. Win,win all round. 😇 Thanks for the inspiration, although the spiders, might loose out.x
Downloaded books about carnivorous plants during the torrent era.. Had too dry air to even consider owning them but reading helped.. Really lovely specimen.
Sorry Roger, not a fan. A few Pings in the growroom to help with fungus gnats yes but otherwise outside, I can't see the point of planting to help insect numbers then growing these 🤷♀️ and peat??
I've planted for Butterflies and Bees mainly - these tend to attract flies. Stopping the peat from being harvested is the goal - once harvested, it needs to be put to good use or it's just wasted.

Thanks for sharing your video tour.
You're welcome.
They certainly are interesting.
I've always thought of these as 'tropical' but they are very hardy and could stay outside all year round here.

Thanks.
Interesting he had some yellow sticky paper around the place. Nice displays and plants.
It does seem odd when the plants should do the job of keeping the flies down.
👍✨
Is there coming any more where you talk to the guy? What he does and optimum growing conditions.
Any future vids about these will be on the gardening channel "Roger's Garden and Bonsai".
Which begs the question, where on earth does he get enough bugs to feed them all???
Mine will stay outside most of the time so should get some bugs/flies.
