As someone who has easily watched a thousand hours worth of skyblock/oneblock videos, this series is a nice refreshing change from the typical Minecraft version, I can't wait for more of this series.

Fun fact: if you can get dungeon blocks, you can actually make a fishing pond in a dungeon area and get dungeon loot! Side note: not sure if this actually true, but i have been told by a few good players that this works
I'd love to see the map creator add a hidden chest containing 400 dungeon bricks to this map, as that's all that's needs to be added to be able to craft a custom dungeon biome.
I'm trying it with one character softcore/normal just taking the minimum by visiting another world, which was one tree's worth of wood and no acorn, and once I got a bucket, I went back to another world and filled it with liquid (doesn't matter which, since they cycle with shimmer). I think I'll also edit in an altar for crafting boss summons so I can progress without waiting quite as long for random spawns. A bit over 20 wood was enough, when I used platforms spaced one block apart to bridge out far enough for enemies to spawn, where I made a small platform. Could do it with less by going up, and having enemies fall down to you, but you need 10 wood for a work bench, and four four for a chair to make a house. You can get ore slowly from slimes, but to get wood, I had to get the merchant, and buy copper axes to shimmer de-craft. They're cheap, but it's still really tedious to get wood, since they don't stack. Once you have the merchant, get enough to make furniture for a few more houses, so you can get the demolitionist for more bombs to make dirt bombs. The travelling merchant spawned at one point, but just fell from wherever he spawned immediately and died, so I didn't get to buy anything that time, like a big pile of wood.
Making pleasant and artistic housing for NPC's? Shame. They deserve nothing less than life in prison. Bloodmoon fishing: If you fully block off the fishing area, then you can wait until dawn to kill them all safely. Also, I like to use a simple one-way-wall "hoik" to cast through, as a floor hole is often hard to get a bobber through and you can't trust the eye fish to not glitch in sometimes. Next... Crazy facts (that don't apply to this map sadly): jungle spores grow just fine on the surface (where growth is fast) in remix worlds. NPC happiness is also disabled in Remix. Pylons are always available and costs are only affected by the discount card. That's about all I've got. Well done. The hard part starts here.

This is so so so cool! I've seen a few skyblocks before and after shimmer, and its crazy what you did so far with just the starting island! Which limitations for 100% completion are there? Granite/marble biomes and dungeon I assume?
Thanks! Shimmer was a massive game changer for skyblock maps, like nothing before it. For 100% there’s probably quite a lot, the biggest amount of content would be unlocked from a single hellforge and demon altar, with that and enough dungeon brick for an artificial dungeon I’d say 99% of items are obtainable
For 100% completion of NPC's, bestiary, and basically all functional gear, what's missing is: many dungeon brick, many hellstone, a hellstone forge, a demon altar, 1 granite OR marble, the 6 biome chest weapons, and debatably 1 ash block for more renewable fireblossom... and yes, that's a fairly definitive and researched list.
@@EagleScoutGamer If only. Fertilizer's ingredient requirements make it totally not worth it. If only you could cook wood into ash and you didn't need bones. Currently, ash is only renewable in Celebrationmk10 seeds... and you won't like how.
Can you provide the song that you used during the queen bee fight through wall of flesh fight? I know that it is the otherworldly celestial towers theme, but I cant seem to find the particular remix you used
You get jungle grass seeds the same way as always, breaking jungle plants. As for jungle grass, I show in this video how to get is by purifying corrupt mud

I’m playing the map myself right now, but I can’t get any sand. I think Re-Logic removed the Bottle into Glass shimmer recipe in one of the QoL/Balancing updates in between 1.4.4 and now… Edit: I may be dumb, because I haven’t looked at all of the potion recipes and I don’t think bottles ever turned into glass through shimmer… Edit 2: I am not dumb because I checked the potions wiki page and don't see sand anywhere in any recipe. Still can't turn bottles into glass and glass into sand. Edit 3: Figured out how to get glass with a little more research but my god, there’s grinding to be had. I’ll explain in my own reply.
Okay, First you need to get enough health to beat the Eye, create a crim/corrupt biome with the seeds you get, beat the worm/brain (brain seems easier on a world like this), find the Tavernkeep, Buy Ale then shimmer that until you get Sand. Hope this helps anyone trying this map out for themselves because I had to do some tinkering with shimmer un-crafting and Shimmerblock progression to figure this out.
I couldn’t find a place to insert that with the way I edited the surrounding clips. To get it you shimmer dangersense potions to get cobwebs, then shimmer those into unsafe spider walls
I put a wall around my artificial spider biome and I've actually gotten a couple of cobwebs. I believe I was hitting them with the star from my Starfury, but a less likely answer is that they just work better with blocks around it. In conclusion for anyone looking for tips, put a wall around it :)

You can buy crimson seeds by making a graveyard biome near the dryad. With that, you can obtain ichor and other crimson items.
I’ve done this in a few playthroughs, a really good way to get both rage and wrath potions

I guess you could also complete this world by using softcore characters and just using a few throwaway characters to get the first necessary material

Bonus tip: you can use smart cursor to get angled platforms without needing a hammer.
