OMG! My phone quit charging, and I went ahead and bought another one for $315! But then I found your repair video. I decided to venture into doing it myself! And I'll be damned if it didn't work perfectly . I just want to thank you thank you for your knowledge and patience! My phone is working great, thank you very much!
What is the purpose of removing the board next to the camera? Is it to disconnect the battery? If so, could this step be ommitted if you first caused the phone to completely run down the battery?
I bought the charging board for my two stylus 5g Motorola phones. I took to get repaired at Best Buy, they don't have heating element to remove back, they SELL the tools for $34 I bought I came home, used my hair dryer & followed instructions. Well it was hard to place the line cables back, I finally screwed back the board & I plugged my cell phone it started to work stayed at 1% nearly 20 minutes then shut down? I haven't attempted the second phone. It holds my two wonderful former coworkers voice messages, they passed away within two years of each other. I am scared to attempt to change out with new board?😢 No one will repair if I have android & not a apple phone. I'm besides myself, I really need help.
I am so frustrated the hardest part is finding a small enough screw driver to remove the excess without stripping them...I've almost got it...I'm using a charging port piece from my new phone that has a shattered screen But that charger port is new I'm hoping I can swap out the ports so my old phone will charge and I don't have to buy a new phone! Fingers crossed I pray this works once I get the screws out!!!

I purchased my new board on Amazon. It also came with the proper tools to complete the repair! Less than $15.
