I very, very nearly did not go back. Sat in a cafe for hours thinking everyone would be so much better off without me, especially my baby; went through the budget, how much can I take from the joint account without harming the security of my husband and child! all planned, new identity, new city! then I looked up, could see the apartment where my in laws lived and knew then that I could not abandon my baby. It was a turning point for me and I am sooooooooooooooo glad I did not walk away x
Postpartum depression is indeed a bad beast to fight. Especially if no one helps you understand why you feel that way, and I don't mean friends, but people who do it professionally. On top of that it is an ugly beast if no one recognizes the symptoms, as it can be dangerous for both the mother and the children. I sincerely hope that someone will help Tracy through this difficult time.
I feel for Tracey so much. I went through the exact same thing with my Son. From the moment I fell pregnant with him until he was about 2 and a half years old I felt absolutely nothing towards him. Wanted to walk out on hun many times so very nearly did many times. I’d look at him when he was In his Cot crying and I literally felt nothing toward him at all. And now at the age of 7 his such a Mommy’s boy he really Is. I love him to pieces and more. I too just like Tracey felt all alone and felt like I could speak out and that I had no one to talk to. My other half and my Mom who were and still are very close to me didn’t even pick up on It because I hid It so well. They have played this storyline so line. Amy Welsh you’ve been and done amazing so far
ShadowSoal has made an excellent sum inaction about PND. It’s a hell of a beast to deal with and try to overcome. The worst is when people don’t understand and tell you to pull yourself together that is so cruel. Understanding, listening and support goes a long way in helping. So Faith don’t let your feet fail you now!
I love how Faith likes to help people in a sneaky way. Lots of years of trying to help Dingles while letting them save face..
