- I'm repotting my Ficus microcarpa bonsai, sorting out the root structure to create a more miniature looking tree.
This tree was my first bonsai and it was grown from a seed.

I'm using wet cloth on Ficus trees for years when i have some exposed roots and it works really well .
I always enjoy watching you do rootwork, especially on ficuses. Thankfully you don't use the blue scissors then :)

I have a family of racoons that comes through my backyard and rips trees out of the pots in the middle of the night. They are just exploring looking for food im sure. So far I've been able to notice most of the trees early in the morning so I can repot them, but one was not so fortunate and was left on the ground for a day. Not sure how to stop them from messing with my trees!
