They didn't even sand it after the last angle grinder sanding disk chomped into it. Did you notice the other workers in the shed, none had a mask on . They must all believe that fiberglass drops to the ground without any getting airborne.

What was the glue you put in the seam? Is it just resin?
What kind of glue did you use on the seam? Would just a standard resin work?
You could just use thickened epoxy
What was the sanding disc grit?

might be apoxy with black pigment, so they can polish at the end
