I’ve watched a Tom Garner interview and he says some things inconsistent about what the Boyles dogs were about. At least as far as I saw. He said they were going heavy on the Eli, but the way I saw it they were trying to retain the Eli qualities without using too much of the blood itself, they would always tell me all they needed was an eighth of the blood to maintain the traits that they want from it
Boyles used to use a lot of Eli blood. A lot of oiler stuff also ,people just see what they want. the best dogs off of boyles stock were always crossed with Midnight Cowboy, Eli Junior . I was right there watching them. Actually I had it. I had the old Ramsey and Bolt action stuff and they were ahead of the game. The bitch he spoke of was right down the road from my old house. She was the old Gashouse and other eli/ Bolio Stuff when the boyles started having problems is when people forgot any the eli and started breeding heavy on Bolio. the dogs lost something. the old 80s and 90s dogs were head and shoulders above what I see today

I'm going down the route of single pupback deals and breeding on my own yard if at all possible. $2000 could be the price of a c section alone so if anybody's thinking of breeding and they really care about their dogs, they should probably have 4 or 5 grand set aside so they can solve any problems that may arise. This is from someone who is still in the research phase, planning on breeding next year if possible, or 2025 if its not. Slow and steady wins the race, I have the best females I've ever seen and am in contact with the owners of my favorite males out there. I love how you run your yard, you can tell your dogs absolutely love the shit out of you and its always clean as can be. Keep on bulldoggin brother 🫡
