Julian - I must agree with you ... the last 2 players were in a tie in the first position. Each brought uniqueness and 're-invented the bass if you asked me. The winner (5th video) showed mastery of the song and you can see he even 'smiles' when he knows he is bringing in something 'special' into the song. The 4th video (2nd winner) is very jovial and bonds with the bass and song - especially towards the end. The 3rd video has the cleanest, punchiest bass.... well EQed! Now, how can we get a hold of you directly (email ... etc)?

Number 5 is the best. He is a professional and he carefully maintained the groove and rhythm which are the primary role of the bass player. He is less arrogant but quite astute. Just my opinion as a bass player.

Julian, I like your touch because it's closer to mine. However, coming back the bass playing challenge, my favorite would be the #2, because he sounds really musical and does very well the solo phrases, though his sound wasn't well checked for a real seben. The #1 is also good, has good soundcheck but, a real seben doesn't require so much of walking bass, and for this very case, he walks so so much and his phrases are not seducing, if we can go a little bit deeper into seben analysis.
