- In this episode of my road trip around Italy. I leave Florence and head into the Italian countryside. It's around a 3 hour ride to Rome so sit back and enjoy.

Reminds me of the late 60s and early 70s of my motocycle trips,
I had never been out of the UK before and couldn't believe my motocycle got me to south of France.Venice, pisa, Florence, Rome, Amalfi coast, and many more places.
I could not believe the colour of the water,
I'm in my 70s and still riding, but one thing I always do no matter how hot it is I always wear gloves.
Wow that sounds amazing I cant Imagine what it must of been like without a satnav or google maps. And still in your 70s riding is impressive keep it going. Many thanks for the comment mate.
On top of that, no mobile phones, if you wanted to phone the UK.
You had to find a postoffice/telecom,
Book a call sit down and wait,
No credit cards or bank cards, no ATM machines.
Plus the British government restricted the amount of money you could take out of the UK.
The amount was registered in your passport.
I had to get a piston and valves sent out to pisa Airport,
I could not ring home because we did not have a phone.
So I had to ring the place I worked,
When the part's arrived, I had to walk to the airport, pick up the part's walk back to the campsite, just around the corner from the tower
And fit them.

Honestly it must have been a whole different experience one that’s probably gone for ever. I guess tech make it a little less stressful lol. 👊👊
