Villarreal as an IF with above average power and great speed looks promising. Not common to have a player with balanced Contact and Power that can field and run. Always nice to get an A OVR ace pitcher at the start of a rebuild though. Maybe a discovery pitcher for pick #2?
Villareal will be a solid pick for sure. Not perfect, but good speed, power, and arm strength will be a good starting point. Hoping to find someone I like even better but I'd be fine taking him. Yeah discovery usually comes in clutch for the middle rounds finding us some pitching, hopefully it can again.
I get that its your franchise and that you're free to run it however you want to. I just think that there's no team that would be willing to trade any of the level of prospects you profiled in this episode for Nolan Jones. Salas is an elite C prospect that was up in spring training this year just to get him some reps. Holiday got called up already (and sent back down). This seems like an interesting series conceptually, yet pretty unrealistic. I will continue to follow though.
Not in real life for sure but Nolan is quite good in game. We’re also already 30 episodes in im not sure what I can do about it now haha. For me, this series is already something that isn’t going to be 100% realistic because of the premise of the series, so if I can get a really good prospect in exchange for the one good player on the team that I’ll lose anyway I’m gonna do it because we are so limited in what we can do to add talent.

@@Bdub-py1zp it kind of depends on what kind of rebuild you want. If you’re looking for something similar to this rebuild the teams that just missed the cut for me were the angels and the pirates. I think the giants are also a fun rebuild.
Wow this is the ugliest version of The Show i have ever seen. Its like a 8th grade girl in 1992 was the art designer. Even the player cards look cheap. Did they add anything to the actual baseball gameplay? All i kept hearing about was a bunch of junk - like adding chicks to the game.....and the Jeter story mode....and ANOTHER Negro league story mode -- The game itself looks like they improved nothing. Like they just released The Show 23 again with obnoxious art....you know...so they could sell all those cards over again in Diamond Dynasty. Im glad i didnt pre order this. No body should have.
I would train veen in vision discipline clutch rn. IMO especially in aa or aaa it’s more important than power. His power will come with age and if u up the plate skills and clutch that will help his power as well
That's a good thought for sure, and I do that with most hitters. Unfortunately I'm about 23 episodes ahead of you right now so I can't do much to change it.
I've been using your scouting technique since I found your channel last year, and my drafts have been stellar even when I don't pick in the Top 15.
Nice!! It's worked pretty well for me too most drafts. It gets tricky if there aren't any good discovery players.
