My boys had a similar thing. It had little dinosaurs in it. It made a big mess but they had tremendous fun. We took them to see the dinosaurs at Crystal Palace Park to show them how in Victorian times, we thought dinosaurs looked. It's a lot different to how we believe they look now. You can see some of them on the website for the park. Love from 🇬🇧

Just FYI on those little dig kits it's better if you soak them in water cuz I have a toddler that's obsessed with them and I usually let them soak for about 30 minutes and it's a lot easier for them to dig into cuz then it just crumbles.
