- Hello mga Ka Love, sharing with everyone our Tausug Traditional Wedding Ceremony.
It was a simple and family celebration held last Sept 5, 2020❤️
Showing the very vibrant and colorful tradition of Tausug Wedding Ceremony from Pagpaygu, Pagpassal to Pagkawin.
Pagpaygu ay ang pagpapaligo sa bride at groom para sa purification at paghahanda sa pagkawin.
Pagpassal ay ang symbolic process ng paglilinis at pagpapaganda sa bride at grom.
Pagkawin ay ang proseso na pagpapakasal sa mga muslim kung saan ibibigay na ang Wali sa groom mula sa parents ng bride. Ang Wali ay ang consent kung saan pinahihintulutan na sila ikasal. At ang pinaka importante na proseso sa Pagkawin ay ang Pag Ba’tal o ang Nuptial Touch. Pagkatapos ng Pag Ba’tal ay officially kasal na ang bride at groom.
Grabe very rich pala talaga ang culture ng Philippines. It's nice knowing that this kind of culture is still preserved.

Nakakatuwang makita na buhay na buhay pa rin ang mga ganitong kultura at tradisyon na bahagi ng sinauna at kasasayan ng buhay ng bawat lugar, grupo o tribu sa bansa. Marami nang kultura ang namamatay at nawawala kaya sana mapagyaman at mapanatiling buhay ang mga kagaya nito. Ngayon kasi ang nakikita nating buhay na buhay na lang ay ang kulturang ng inggit. Salaam from Singapore. So so interesting to see my filipino muslimah and muslimin culture. very different but yet similar. Uses a lot of water.; I assumed it is to signify cleansing? like *Mandi bunga*. The similarity that can be seen is how Indian influences are incorporated. I guess because of the strong ties and cultural background with the majapahit traditions, really really interesting!. thank you for the video. I guess it is true when they say Philippines is a melting pot of culture that makes them uniquely filipino.
